O'DOWDA STARTS TODAY'S CARDIFF CITY TEAM NEWS:

Sat Feb 04, 2023 2:01 pm

Two changes:

Wintle Captain:

Cardiff City make two changes from the defeat to Luton on Tuesday.

Callum O'Dowda comes back in after sitting out the trip to Kenilworth Road with a bug. He replaces Joe Ralls, with Ryan Wintle taking the captain's armband. Looks like it could be a three at the back with Ng and O'Dowda out wide, although it may also be a four with Jack Simpson taking on the role of left-back.

Jaden Philogene is preferred to Mark Harris up front, while new signing Sory Kaba is on the bench, despite doubts over whether he'd be ready in time. Will be very interesting to see if he sees any action today.

No Rubin Colwill at all, which is a potentially interesting call.

Hull, meanwhile, are unchanged.

Positive Ralls not playing, double negative Sawyers and Simpson in starting 11.

Encouraging to see Kaba on the bench. He cant be far off the fitness required then. No surprise for me about Colwill. He is mercurial at best and I dont see a future premier league player at the moment. Need fight and lots of it, no time for inconsistency.

Must be something going on with colwill as 4 managers have hardly played him lately

Colwill doesn’t deserve to be in the squad after the lack of effort/ fight last week. That was the least Lamouchie wanted.
On the other hand Davies should prob be a starter and defo at least on the bench. Would have liked to see O Dowfa and Davies with Etete ( or Kaba if he was available) in the middle.

I dont like Robinson as the main striker.… I realise he is a favourite with many on here…. (but can’t hold the ball up, poor at heading, rarely beats a man etc…). :banghead: :bluebird:
Anyway fingers crossed.

AGREE with Robinson not being a 9 but good as a 10 and odowda and Davies wide supporting with Etete or Kaba as a 9. Is what I would like to see
