Have you seen Kaba play?
Shortly. Shortly. I trust the people in the club. They chose him."
"They gave me many names. We signed him and I’m happy with this new player. So I’m just waiting."

New striker Sory Kaba aged 27 has three goals in 14 international games for Guinea. He has two goals in 27 games for Danish outfit Midtylland this season.

Kaba free for Saturday at Hull?
That’s what I’m saying. I need to see the player face-to-face. I have this report about him. Different country. Different league. Different time as well. The last game he played was in November. We have a lot of questions. Only with him here will we have the solution and the best way to use him. I don’t want to take a risk.

It’s a risk but it could also be a real success ! Let’s not write him off before we’ve even seen him.

We as a professional football club should not be in this position and panicking etc
I really hope he can be great for us, but I saw him play and a few years ago he struggled v Atletico Baleares, League 3 of the Spanish League, equal to Newport County.
What I can say is his wages will be very very cheap as Atletico Baleares are one of the highest paid and they pay €500-€800 a month.
And once again our famous Committee picked the main player for us.
Let’s hope he does it for us, say even 7 goals by him in the next 17 games will be good the way we are.

i have a huge problem with this, imagine having a style of play and a way of playing, you know what sort of players you need to be successful, but the club is signing players for you. they might not suit your style of play. what happens if this lad is upfront, scores none, and it goes wrong, the manager will get the blame

Doesn't look like we'll see him on Saturday by the sound of things.
After Saturday yet another game will have gone by with us relying on exactly the same goal shy attackers (Robinson excepted).
Why can't we ever sign anybody who's ready to go straight into the first team with a view to improving it?

€500 ~ €800 Annis, does that mean the committee are giving him £11000 ~ £12000 p/w ?
Yes, I know its not funny but I have reached the stage of ' if I don't laugh I will weep !!!
What a shambles, new manager who doesn't know new signing.

I have a feeling this fella will be a blazing success for us just when we need it, fingers crossed. Hsnt played since November, does that mean he is injured or due to World Cup and, do they have winter break in Denmark?

Jules,
I did warn our fans beyond the last few years all the signs were there, warnings, what I was being told.
We probably, guessing offered him more like 4 times he was in, say a £2,000 a week he was on, the club he was with were happy to let him leave.
We are beyond a joke.

David,
Because we are run by Tan and his famous transfer Committee.

Annis has.
Reading his uptake fills me with dread.
Just how has it all come to this? Another choice by committee.
Sadly until this changes we are doomed.
In my heart of hearts I’m desperate for him to be a huge success but the rational side of me thinks otherwise

Yes we are beyond a Joke Annis, and the longer things continue, the worse they're going to get. This Kaba fella dosent fill me with any confidence tbh, even his goal scoring record in lower leagues isn't exactly impressive, but well see.
There's a saying "the more things change, the more they stay the same", and where City are concerned, when things can't possibly get any worse, they usually do.

I really hope he turns out to be a good signing, but this really don’t sound good. I always hoped it was a joint effort between what the manager wanted and the club (committee) to bring a player in, but it’s obvious who decides. I will be relieved if we don’t go down this year, as the quality of our squad is pretty low.

Haven't even seen him holding a City shirt yet ha

Because he’s not even in the Country, NO one has ever met him from our club or personally seen him play.
He’s not kicked a ball since November.
We need to give him a month to adjust and get fit.

FFS!
Not even in the country? Not played since November? Not met the manager? Not trained with the players?
And this is the bloke we're relying on the score the goals to stay up?
We could be almost down before he actually gets on the pitch for us!
Just about sums up what a laughing stock our club is at the moment
Thu Feb 02, 2023 5:09 pm
Hes not really going to score 14 goals, he will score some but its more about helping the team overall. Ill be happy if he gets 5-6, Robinsons gets a couple, Davies, Harries Eteke etc
Thu Feb 02, 2023 6:04 pm
He only signed Tuesday
Arriving today.
So our manager hadn't watched any footage of our new striker then.
He's obviously living in the dark ages then.

Big Ceri,
Watch what you say Tans followers are still ready to pounce.
Our club from top to bottom is a shambles.

Really got to give the benefit of the doubt here, almost like some people want him to fail as it supports their narrative. We all know what a despot Tan is but the team need us now more than ever ! It is our team not Tans so get behind the boys and MAKE SOME NOISE
