Cardiff have sold 565 tickets for Hull away today

(Callum) O’Dowda had a gastro bug. He trained yesterday. His first session with the group. It was good. So no problem for our game.

Lamouchi

CCFC TRAM NEWS:

The Bluebirds are still without Mahlon Romeo and he is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks more yet. The same can be said for Ebou Adams.

Jamilu Collins remains out for the season.

The Opposition's Manager - Liam Rosenior

Rosenior has been in charge of Hull since November, having previously had a successful playing spell with the club between 2010 and 2015.

This is his first full time managerial position. He had a spell as caretaker manager of Derby County between June and September of last year.

Opposition Dangerous Players

Oscar Estupinan is the obvious danger man. He has 12 league goals this season.

Aaron Connolly scored two goals in their 3-0 win over QPR last weekend. They were his first goals in his three league games since joining on loan in January. He started two of those games, including against QPR.

Previous Meeting

Hull beat us 3-2 at CCS in November. We were 2-1 up but two goals from Regan Slater gave the visitors the win.

Team News - Predicted Line-Ups

Hull City: Ingram, Christie, Jones, McLoughlin, Elder, Seri, Docherty, Tufan, Slater, Connolly, Estupinan

Cardiff City: Allsop, Ng, McGuinness, Kipre, Simpson, Wintle, Ralls, Sawyers, Ojo, Harris, Robinson

Sabri when asked about transfer window:

"Good question. I don't have any news about that. I will be happy with more players and quality, because we are not enough.
"If not. We will try and find a solution with the players in the locker room."

Asked if he would dip into free agent market: "Good question. I need to talk with the club. They know exactly what we need. Not what the manager needs, what the team needs. We will see tonight and probably in the next day."

Hull can’t defend but they are good going forward. They have two good strikers .

Given what we have available, i would go with this team v Hull City in a game simply cannot afford to lose...

Ryan Allsop

Joel Bagan
Cedric Kipre
Mark McGuiness
Perry Ng

Andy Rinomhota (Capt.)
Ryan Wintle

Isaak Davies
Mark Harris

Callum Robinson

Sory Kaba

With the new striker (Saba) adding desperately needed height up front, I honestly believe Harris and Davies could do proper damage from the wings... :ayatollah:

Cardiff boss Sabri Lamouchi is unsure whether new signing Sory Kaba will be available to face Hull City on Saturday, with the striker still not in Wales as of Thursday morning.

The 27-year-old was signed on loan until the end of the season on deadline day, but he hasn't played any football since November meaning his match fitness is likely to be on the rusty side. Lamouchi also admitted he has yet to see the striker play.

New striker Sory Kaba has two goals in 27 games for Danish outfit Midtylland this season and they were happy to let him move on.

Sabri Lamouchi:

"I need to see the player face-to-face," he said. "I have this report about him. Different country. Different league. Different time as well. The last game he played was in November. We have a lot of questions. Only with him here will we have the solution and the best way to use him. I don’t want to take a risk."

"I don’t know (if he'll be available). He’s not even in the building. He’s not in Cardiff. After his first session I can answer and say when he’s ready to play. For sure he will travel with us to Hull because he has to get to know the players and staff and the club."

O'Dowda in contention for Tigers trip

Callum O'Dowda is in contention to feature for Cardiff City this weekend.

The winger missed Sabri Lamouchi's first game at Luton with a bug, but has since returned to training this week with the Cardiff boss confirming the Irishman is now in line to be involved.

Mahlon Romeo and Ebou Adams remain sidelined for the next couple of weeks, while Jamilu Collins is likewise a long-term absentee.

Newcastle United loanee in Hull squad for Bluebirds visit

Karl Darlow is set to go straight into Hull City’s squad for Saturday’s home game with Cardiff City at the MKM Stadium, having completed a loan move from Newcastle this week.

Hull will be interesting today ….they have a leaky defense … so surely we must score ….. on the other hand they are really potent going forward and are good scorers ….. so can we prevent them scoring ?

Connolly and Estupinan are dangerous strikers at this level ….. but they also have Tetteh suspended and he would have been very dangerous as well.

Conclusion : fingers crossed .

They are nothing special and are not one of the clubs going for promotion.

Games like this have to be won and we are capable.

Early team news;

Mahlon Romeo and Ebou Adams remain sidelined for the next couple of weeks, while Jamilu Collins is likewise a long-term absentee.

Goalkeeper Karl Darlow is set to go straight into Hull City’s squad, having completed a loan move from Newcastle this week.

According to our colleagues at Hull Live, he is likely to start from the bench, with Matt Ingram expected to keep his place in the starting XI.

Fellow new boy Malcolm Ebiowei has not trained this week, and is unlikely to be involved, but boss Liam Rosenior is set to welcome back Jacob Greaves for the home test with the Bluebirds.

Allsop warms his hands early by getting down to gather an early drive from Christie, who did well to weave his way into the Cardiff box under pressure from Ng.

Cardiff look to be set up with a four at the back.

Sawyers wins a freekick around 30-25 yards out. Decent opportunity for Cardiff here.

Christie looking lively. Gets the better of Simpson before cutting a low ball back, but Cardiff clear.

Hull on the front foot so far.

Elder whips in a teasing ball towards the six-yard box, but McGuinness clears.

Cardiff struggling for possession in these opening exchanges.

I like Jack Simpson. But I'm not convinced he's a left-back.

Christie gets the better of him again, but Cardiff clear. He's caught out of position moments later, but O'Dowda is there to mop up.

He starts what looks to be a promising counter, but the final ball to Philogene is too hard.

Should be 1-0.

Slater cuts inside on his right in the area, and his low deflected shot comes back off the post before being gathered by Allsop.

Another nervy moment for Cardiff.

Simpson caught ball watchingand it affords Christie all the time in the world to cut inside and fizz a ball across goal.

Deflected behind.

Cardiff win another freekick in a decent position.

It's pretty central, around 30 yards out and....

Oh, never mind. Robinson sends a tame effort well, well wide.
