Deal Done:
Lewys Benjamin has signed for Man City, had medical as well.
Lewis will become a Manchester City player officially on July 1st.
Man City and Cardiff in talks over Lewys Benjamin deal. Would follow Biancheri to Manchester. Cardiff will be handsomely compensated when deal is over the line, anything up to £1mill for the 16 year old goalie.
Benjamin was in the squad v Leeds United in the Cup.
Lewys, Wales U17 international had a host of clubs tracking him.
Plus £525,000

That would be good money for the two players...
No guarantees of future success but good compensation for 'potential' that can also be sold as a positive when attracting players to our academy

Exactly Chris,
Good money for them, but let’s hope the money stays with in our club not wasted by the Hierarchy.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=231907The first team squad is virtually worthless, otherwise we would if sold some players

What is going on here I don't think any of these deals are good for City or football in general. We don't I presume as others have quite wrongly said on here set up an academy to sell players at the first opportunity to some of the best clubs in Europe man city and united. And then say it's good for our club.
Surely we want these players to work up to first team football and be a benefit to our club rather than selling them for buttons as usual like we have done. What's the point of having an academy of it can't produce first team footballers ! The money is buttons it's one of our journey man's wages for a year!

Yes sven another brilliant post. We could attract more players to our academy sell them off to massive clubs for next to nothing before they've even played first team football for us! Quite an unbelievable and we'll do anything for a quid stance!

This is right the money received is pathetic and football academy rules are so unfair outside tier 1
