Why no Peake announcement?

Sun Jan 29, 2023 11:13 pm

I see wez and annis say he is signed. Why have the club not announced this then? Is he signed on a contract on a free transfer or a loan?

Can sometimes take a while to get all the necessary paperwork done to complete a deal. Signs like he's signed the contract but there's other paperwork.

No rush as we still have 48 hours until the deadline, it's not like we're having to rush the paperwork as we will if we're still looking for players on deadline day.

Or cynically they do not want to announce that he will sign and then join some of our other players on the injured list that we signed rather than make a start against luton tomorrow night.

Or maybe after what happened to poor sala they are waiting for everything to come through, registration etc.
Or you never know it could be they are waiting for others to sign and do a quadruple announcement

Or realistically they want to announce all 4 new signings together.

Keep the Faith.

Or uncynically, it's no secret that Lennon is still in 'recovery mode', so nothing to hide there...

But he has played (and impressed) in a number of games during his pre-Christmas trial, so it's all about building strength, stamina and match fitness

Most likely it is because Forever Blue had the inside nod on this one due to his links with the family and the ink isn't dry on the contract yet

I'm not having a go at you personally because there seems to be a theme of 'knock the club at every opportunity' lately and even positivity is given a negative slant

Put simply, tgis has been a good few days for club and supporters alike... :ayatollah:
