Think this was the number 9 Whitehead referred to. I think we can do better and should be looking at strikers from the Premier League or similar abroad. That said he would be better than Etete who still needs time and patience. A luxury we can't afford right now.

If he can stay fit he would be an upgrade on what we've got now.

I have no idea if Etete eventually will be championship grade, but my eyes tell me he is not even a back ups back today. At least Wickham demonstrated he can score in L1 and is fit.....No brainer even if he wants 18 months

Well I think Etette will be a very decent player. (Hopefully he develops/ flourishes under the new regime.)
That said, atm we need a decent striker who is decent in the air.
I am pretty sure that Labouchie said he has spent the last 18 months in London and has watched a lot of Championship and L1 and 2 football. I am hoping that he may have spotted a potential CF for us.
In anycase imo Labouchie is a good appointment and has my 100% support.

He’s quick, works hard and his improving his hold up play game on game.

20 years of age for a big tall centre forward is very young, they tend to take longer to mature physically. But I’ve seen enough so far to believe there is a half decent player in there.

However, to make it at this level or above he has to approve his heading in the box. He needs to attack it, but he will learn.

Agree with you both, bit of patience needed. He's improved since he first came here for sure

Etete was bought as a project, it's just the recruitment has ended up pretty poor and he has been thrown in. We have 18 games, if he is a starter in any of them then I think we are in trouble.

He'll definitely come back next season a better player, I just think it's all happening a little too quickly for him at the moment.

Wickham and A.N.Other would be exactly what we need now

Agree ww need an experienced striker but think this lad will cow good, starting to put himself about a bit lately.
