Cardiff City saving £150,000 releasing player

Curtis Nelson was released mutually with Nelson happy to join Blackpool saving City approx £30,000 a month in wages :thumbright: :bluebird:

Nelson’s contract expired 30th June this year.

So Blackpool now taken on this wage ?? Money now budgeted into bringing in a player on loan as it is covered ??

I would have kept Nelson until the end of the season. Wage saving only equivalent to the money we will make from the next televised game.

Your right regarding wages Paul I should have said contracts. This could be Denham's chance as back up now, I just hope we don't get any injuries at CB this season.

Surely we had to pay up (at least part of) his wages?

I'm not sure he will be anywhere near that money at Blackpool :ayatollah:

No , it was mutual termination, so probably cut ties totally ,since he could get a better wage and signing on fees with Blackpool.

Mutual will mean the club has agreed something. Blackpool probably offer a max 10k probably less per week. Nelson isn't going to just accept such a huge loss and why should he. Madness wage he was on but not his fault

Madness wage? 30k a month not week! Works out approx 7.5k a week
