No that's not fair actually. He's solid enough defender who always gives 100%. Not the most gifted but a tough competitor and wish him well ( but not well enough for them to be saved from relegation).

Flourished when playing 3 Centre halves but a bit exposed in a flat back 4. That said, his best was pretty good. We’ve definitely had worse.

Agree he may have had a mistake in him now and again but he always gave 100% . I’m surprised though that we’d sell to a relegation rival though

I agree; did a decent job in a defence prone to individual errors (of which he made some but certainly not all)

Also thought he was much improved since his return to the side. Will probably now play a prominent part in keeping Blackpool up, similar to Morrison

Another one that should stay average player but big heart and if him and mozz where playing tomorrow in a back 4 I would bet we would be harder to beat than rather play pretty football that looks good but can't defend properly

Nelson had 6 months of his contract left with the Bluebirds so they released him on a free to Blackpool

Not bad in the air, fair tackler, prepared to put his body on the line and normally put a shift in, however is passing/distribution was dire ! That part of his game never improved and it brought so much pressure on our defence with waves of attacks by him constantly passing to the opposition. I wish him all the best and thank him for his service however hope his replacement can pass to a colleague, this is a basic requirement at this level of football (championship and above)

Decent defender always gave 100% but made far too many individual mistakes

His distribution was dire at times but you could never fault his commitment

Hope he does well for Blackpool, I was always 50/50 on nelson. Loved his passion and commitment.
Bit surprised though because last couple of games I thought he had improved, but with 6 months left on contract it makes sense for both parties. Once Romeo and denham is back we've got Ng, McGuiness, kipre ans Simpson.

Prepare yourselves - he’ll have one good game for Blackpool and some on here will go into meltdown about how we should never have let him go and how useless the Club is.
