A forum for all things Cardiff City

Here's some comments from Reds fans for consideration, as none of us know much about him. All pretty positive and I haven't been selective, just copied the lot from a Nottingham news site as is:
Sam : Cardiff seem fuming with this but I think he’s exactly what they need atm. He brought belief and a feel good factor back to The City Ground that we hadn’t seen in years, and the CCS really needs that. Top bloke, just crumbled when games went behind closed doors #NFFC #CardiffCity
Jack : The inventor of Matty Cash. Deserves another shot at the championship and will have experience this time. Hope he gets it and wish him well #NFFC
Adam Webster : Brought my love back for Forest, if he gets it hope he smashes it
Kevin Bushell : He deffo would do a job for them #ccfc
Max Hayes : Good appointment. Did well at Forest, Covid and no fans destroyed his time at the club… give him time and he will succeed
Simpsons NFFC : From a Forest fan, would absolutely recommend Sabrina's manager. Will bring the players and the club together as one, will make players better than the sum of their parts and will make the players fight for the club and the fans.
Coopers Reds : Why all the Cardiff fans writing him off. Very good manager at that level. Made some strange subs at times but was his first season in English football and ultimately don't think it was all his fault why we missed out on play offs on GD.
Jacob Corr : Lamouchi was class at forest. Bottled it a bit towards the end of the season but was his first time in the champo and we all know how bonkers that league is. Played great football under him we just didn't quite have enough depth to see it through which wasn't really his fault
Gareth D : He’d be a good appointment. The disrupted covid season and a poor January transfer window in 2020 upset the rhythm. Overall he did a decent job for us at #NFFC
Bapops. This guy almost got me to tear up my season ticket. I'm just delivered he's well away from the city ground.
devonred . He did a good job for us but ultimately his cautious tactics cost us points and a play off place. Several away games where we were winning 1-0, sat back and conceded a late equaliser (eg. Derby, Sheffield Wednesday, Reading).
DSword. If Grabban hadn’t missed 4/5 sitters in last 6 games Sabri would have taken us to play offs for sure - with a really good chance going beyond that. Solid Championship Mgr.
InofftheRed. Sabri Lamouchi punched well above his weight and took a weak Forest squad to the verge of the playoffs. SL deserves better than Cardiff.

I think he will do well for us .

I haven't seen many views so far that are either negative or just taking the piss. I'd like to see someone proven and experienced but if he's on his way, it seems promising from fan feedback.

Just hope he's backed a bit and has a plan for us .

Mate, the Forest supporters are overwhelmingly positive in their support of Sabri Lamouchi, which given our traditional rivalry is good to see. They seem to think he did well there under the circumstances and he galvanised the support...
For them to say he'll do well for us is a positive and I just hope the appointment is imminent...

It's certainly encouraging mate and as you say, he seems to have united their fans at his time there plus I like the comments on their performance whilst under him. Hopefully going to be a busy few days ahead of midnight next Tuesday.

Sabri Lamouchi, you'd be hard-pressed to find a Nottingham Forest fan who doesn't like him - judging by my Twitter timeline, anyway.

Good to get a manager in who's got loads of passion. Just what's needed.

It may or may not work out but I believe it’s the right choice at this very difficult time

Top bloke and a good manager, I just feel like it's another person getting fed to the lions, time will tell what Support the board want to give him.

Lmfhao, good feeling about this.

Sounds encouraging. But this is Cardiff City and all the baggage that comes with our club!
Nevertheless, good luck to him and Sol.

That would be great but right now I'll settle for a finish above the drop zone, give him the summer transfer window and a pre season to see what we can do. Although I don't know much about him, I'm quite happy to get a manager in as opposed to a coach.
