STRANGE TIMING !? The transfer window c

STRANGE TIMING !?

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Tue. , 31st January. Yet our Club has agreed to play Luton away the same bloody night !!???

Usually the last day of a transfer window is by far the busiest and most important. We are in desperate need of signing players ….. the outcome of this season might depend on it !

Our bloody future damn it !!Surely , Dean Whitehead or a new manager must be very heavily involved in this process . Managers play a big role in convincing a player to sign .

Also he is (or at least must be in any normal club) highly involved in selecting and negotiating the transfer. Playing Luton on that day/night seems incompetent to me.

We know Tan is the decision maker ….but what the hell is happening here ?

A manager is a semi spectator here ? Which half decent manager would accept this ?

Frankly agreeing to play Luton that night is a moronic or at least a strange and incompetent choice to me. Even a poor weak manager should not accept this ….. he is the manager not a sweeping mat.

Having said that there may be an explanation to this odd behavior…… maybe Tan does not want to sign anyone anyway …..hmm….but this is not what Hudson have said and now Whitehead is saying.

Also will any self respecting new manager accept this ?

What on earth is happening at our Club ? It is surreal .

Only thing I've read about someone coming in is a striker.

If that does not happen then the club continue to dig this hole they are in.

Makes perfect sense playing on Tuesday,we havnt got a game this weekend Luton haven we won't have fixture congestion later on in the season ,we should be fresher han luton ,there's nothing new on playing on transfer deadline day us and other teams have in the past.

If the deadline date happens to be the same as an EFL prearranged fixture date … then yes ….of course we play the game ….what else ? The point I am making , is that we are deep deep in trouble - and our future is at stake ….even Whitehead openly stated that we need reinforcements .

So creating to ourselves a self inflicted significant handicap by excluding or bypassing whoever is manager on deadline day is irresponsible , incompetent and insane.

I’m sure that’s the reason why we have people who work on transfers that aren’t involved in match days. Dean Whithead and his coaching staff will already have their targets lined up, so having a game the same day will not impact any signings. So to me it makes no difference whether we have a game or not.

Don't need Whitehead there to sign players on deadline day there have been hundreds of games played then.

Might be we announce a striker and manager the same time as we do things differently than anyone else.

Wouldnt surprise me if they sack Whitehead at half time and a new manager appointed for second half. I must admit I am becoming a bit anti Tan at the moment as this drags on, well not anti as that's a strong word for someone who has undoubtedly tried his best in an arena he is not used to but also so stubborn that he thinks he can do it.

Solution, god knows, its like being in your first hand built go cart and the brakes fail downhill :bluebird:

Personally i dont think it matters when we face luton. Due to the situation our club is in I dont think we will sign more than 1 player this window and if we do then i will be shocked.

I think it's pointless bringing in players when we have a manager that wont be in charge after a few months time. Yes we need survival but unless a manager comes in before the window closes then our club will go down. But then again for change to happen within the club at the top that might not be a bad thing.

Exactly what I intimated in an earlier post under another topic - there is no intention at all on Tan's part to appoint a worthy manager who can get us out of the shite or any new players to help him do so. Get ready for the usual recent bollocks of we asked lots but no one would come!!

Shouldn’t matter when we play them, the club should have a shortlist of players per position and narrowed down to no.1 targets etc.

I really hope they have done so and get to negotiating. The transfer committee should have this by now and should have done their research on players and discussed with the manager. It’s incredible how unprofessional this football club is. I could do a better job.

Chill mun, lads...

Mr Vincent and Mr Mehmet haves a plan you see.

Upto Luton and get all our lads to swap shirts with them Luton boys at the end of the game.... instant loan/swapsies innit mun.

SO we then comes home to the 'diff with a load of confused Luton players while leaving ours up in there equally confused but with a handful of Whipsnade Zoo tickets as a payoff.

Brilliant, yet beautiful plan.
