‘ Striker Jordan Hugill Signs ‘. BUT

Tue Jan 24, 2023 1:33 pm

For Rotherham and joins Sean Morrison & Lee Peltier.

Sean Morrison on his debut was man of the match for Rotherham on Saturday after we released him.

Rotherham have won the race to sign Striker Jordan Hugill.

Cardiff are in the market for a striker and many supporters were keen to get Hugill back after he had made a big impression last term. However, it looks like the Millers have offered a lengthy deal and Hugill appears poised to take it.

It's frustrating because defensively we are pretty good.
But attack we are very very poor.
We are getting left behind with a week to go.
This week could define our club.
New manager and couple of players is all that's needed, it's not a big ask.

He didn't score

Dont think Hugill would have added much to be honest, he didn't exactly do a lot while he was here before, 18 games 4 goals, same as Callum robinson currently. Maybe together they could have worked up a good partnership :bluebird:

Remember we were in a similar situation last January. Morison identified a few players and got them all spot on. Drameh, Doyle, hugill and even uche. Who did a tidy job for us. The fact DW said we are very close to a number 9 and it's all quiet I think he's saying it to buy time so the fans aren't restless

Well it’s funny he helped us stay up and his contribution was good.

Imagine Morrison and Hugill experience to help keep us up.

Plus only a few weeks ago most in here were wishing we had him.

Currently he would bring nothing the state we are in other than a fresh face, but as I said maybe with Robinson they could make a good partnership, he scored four goals in 18 games so hardly was the reason we stayed up. If you think just adding him with Robinson would help us stay up then your naïve in saying that. We are totally shot of confidence at the moment with no apparent direction, players looking lost and some even totally given up the cause.

I didn't think he was MotM or score either !!
Hugill never wanted to come back here did he. Onward.

Re: ‘ Striker Jordan Hugill Signs ‘. BUT

Tue Jan 24, 2023 4:57 pm

Unbelievable, a while back fans on here, Twitter and FB wanted Hugill back, now he’s gone to another Championship club he was not good enough for us, you could not make it up, sane old , and yet we are the worst Scorers in the Championship.

I just put this on Fb again

Exact same ones who stick up for Dictator Tan and say the opposite to what ever I put out.

Hmmmmmmmm?

If I had said Hugill was crap, you would say he was Ronaldo

I’ve looked back at what ever I say Tans followers say the opposite. That to me is very very sad or they are one person working for them.

Hmmm???????

Shocking / embarrassing

If he had signed you would be praising, absolutely pathetic

Pretty certain I read that somewhere. Personally don't think it's a great loss, saw the title of thread and thought FFS. Then read it and wasn't disappointed lol

If you are able to look back at posts can you find the one that someone put up when he said he was staying at Norwich to fight for his place.
Personally couldn't give a toss who we sign as quite obviously Steve Morison"s super signings are not up to job.

Re: ‘ Striker Jordan Hugill Signs ‘. BUT

Tue Jan 24, 2023 7:07 pm

I wanted Hugil but fair play to his agent 3.5 years for a 30 year old, he is a northern lad so will probably put down roots there.

I think Vinny is looking for resale opportunities so I am expecting someone younger and another punt..... i wouldn't believe the dutch lad is beyond the realms of possibility. Vinny wants one fcuk you i told you so player, he had Zohore for big profits but Josh more than doubled the loss in one transfer.

Re: ‘ Striker Jordan Hugill Signs ‘. BUT

Tue Jan 24, 2023 7:09 pm

Well Gents let’s see who Vinny brings in, let’s see???

We need to stay up.

Surely we need a manager first?

Imagine welcome Jordan to your new manager Dean Smith........ I doubt there was animosity between them but who knows

I would have loved us to sign Hugill, however, I don't think we would have offered more than an 18mth contract.

Not saying he ain't good enough in case you misunderstood but as far I can recall he wanted to go back to Norwich and fight for his place.
Anyway Annis as you know time is against us to get someone in so don't think we can pussyfoot about and hopefully the committee has a few names LMFAO.

Jules,

I though he did well for us.

I actually wasn’t including you in my comments.

In a serious note, I hope the Committee are not going to let us down.
