Ebou Adams' nightmare maiden season for Cardiff City lurches

Ebou Adams' nightmare maiden season for Cardiff City lurches from bad to worse after Whitehead revealed he could still be six weeks away from a return to action.

City fans might have to wait until at least March before they see Adams, whose recovery from knee surgery has delayed his competitive Bluebirds debut by another few months.

"Ebou is probably a month or six weeks away, still. He had a couple of setbacks, but he is progressing nicely," interim boss Whitehead said after the defeat by Millwall at the weekend.

"He has had a wretched season so far with his setbacks with injuries. But he is mentally strong, he is looking forward to getting out on the pitch for the first time for Cardiff.

"He had a little clear-up in his knee. He is now on the mend and hopefully not too far away."

Perhaps we should sign another midfielder he is surely going to pick up a other injury before the 6 weeks are up
did he have all these injury problems at his last club? He has not been missed because we never saw him play apart from 1 pre season game.

If he had a knee clean up, then I'm guessing it was a long running niggle... When a player goes down with a long term injury like Ebou's peck detachment then why not scan major joints to check for problems and do it in then to get the player back quicker. He could've had a knee clearout in September! We won't see him until next year.

been an occuring theme this season, which is why i think the previous fitness coach was sacked and replaced. few players who were injured "were back on the training pitch" only to be out for a further few months.

Makes Vassell look like Phil Dwyer.
