Cardiff want 'attack-minded' boss

In case you missed it yesterday.

The Sun report Cardiff want to appoint an "attack-minded boss" and that the new candidate will have to back up his credentials with stats.

The Bluebirds are into the second week in their hunt for a new manager after sacking Mark Hudson immediately after the defeat to Wigan Athletic. Another loss at home to Millwall has heightened the need to get a new permanent boss in place, especially with the transfer window closing in nine days' time.

Whoever the new man is, he will have to show he plays front-foot football to the City hierarchy. They have been inundated with applicants.

The print report states: "Cardiff want to get an attack-minded boss - and will need to see the stats to prove it.

"The Welsh club are apparently being swamped by candidates says the Chairman Mehmet Dalman but a major demand is that the next boss can show his previous teams managed a lot of shots in games."

Does that include how many shots the keeper had?

If Dalman says we are inundated with managers wanting to come here does that really mean nobody has thrown their hat in the ring yet?

I think you may be right and those who are applying are just people who thought sod it I will have a go, you just know what will happen, they wont appoint until just as transfer window closes and then use the excuse why no frees or loans come in.

".. but a major demand is that the next boss can show his previous teams managed a lot of shots in games."[/quote]

And that is why no grown ups, let alone managers, let alone experienced managers take Cardiff City seriously.

A kids football mentality....

Can the regime please stop embarrassing the club with such comments?

Let’s be honest The only manager who would take on the job is a useless one who knows he will get the sack and a pay off in a few months

Only Tan would sack a manager without a plan to replace him, the man is a complete idiot
