Long time since posting

Fri Jan 20, 2023 7:08 pm

I think the last time I posted was back when we called for Ridsdale to resign at a Shareholders AGM. And we are still as dysfunctional as a club as we were then, as we were with Kumar, Clemo etc. its a shame Tan wouldn’t listen to anyone exceot yes men. All we ever wanted was someone with deep pockets. Sam Hammam relit the fire (and nearly put it out again) but Tan has well and truly squandered an opportunity to become a legend in south wales.

There is no need to rehearse the stupidity of allowing Morrison to rip it all up, appoint a new squad only to sack him after 12 games. I personally thought he was taking us in the right direction but Tan hasn’t got the nous to be patient and back his own appointment.

The sala saga is deeply damaging to our reputation and then we have our chairman, Dalman. Who spent most of last year trying to buy another club (Charlton). Personally i dont really want a chairman that loyal. Call me old fashioned.

So where next? Personally the only way for this club to reboot is to go down: it is the only option that will force Tan out. Yes, better the devil you know maybe but look at the one we know. Is wrecking the club, back to no connection with the fanbase and our local communities, a shite product on offer, only us diehards will be there in league 1. Because down we must go, and i believe with the 3 amigo’s running things, that is exactly where we are headed.

My only hope is one of Tans wealthy contacts can be persuaded to take us on. It will take over £100m to get us i to the Premier League given how fucked it all is.

And although all are shares are so diluted, we are shareholders nonetheless so by law, isn’t the club obliged to hold and invite ys to an AGM because i would quite like a natter with Kenneth and Memhet.

Tan owns well over 90% of shares so no one can do a thing, it would depend on the articles of corporation but I very much doubt a agm or egm can be called.intresting that Tan is not a director.

There is no requirement for a private limited company (as CCFC are) to hold an AGM. The law changed on this some years ago. To force a company to call an AGM requires a certain percentage of shareholders to request one and the percentage of shares held by Vincent Tan prevents this from happening as well.

Going down and 're-booting' may have been something the club could have done a few years ago, but this squad would struggle in league 1 and may take a decade to come back up. The top 7 or 8 clubs there have decent squads and are fighting it out for 2 places. It wouldn't be a case of putting together a squad of good players on a small budget - that would only get us mid-table at best. Tan's looking to sell the club. He want's the Sala sage tied up for better or for worse, he wants a squad with relatively low wages for a Championship club, and above all, he knows the club is far more valuable in this division as opposed to league 1..

For me Tan is trying to make the club an attractive investment. This is why he has brought the wage bill down. Danger with that is we could end up in League one because of it and that is not attractive at all.

Anyone coming in will need to invest and under Fair Play rules they will be limited to what they can put in unless they are willing to risk points deductions if we fail to get promoted.

However, the first stumbling block for any investor is the asking price. For me this ends the debate.

Fa o Ninian 62

So what about all small shareholders getting together to give a vote of no confidence, may be meaning less but would give a lot of publicity
