Get a grip

Wed Jan 18, 2023 10:55 pm

Did this match mean we would avoid relegation had we won?

No it would not of.

But we lost.

Does that mean we will now get relegated?

No it does not

Unless your Robert Earnshaw

Who views the result "this team are in big trouble now with relegation"

This game never had any bearing on the league.

It did show that our second 11( give or take one or two) are not good enough to be in the second team.

The first team with one or two loan players coming in and an experienced manager, things can get better very quickly.

Calmness and keeping a level head is not easy in difficult times.

You're in cloud cuckoo land if you think it'll only take an experienced manager and one or two loan players to get us out of this mess.

easy for fans to support a team on the up.. it’s when things are on the down that we see the true support.
Our younger fans have only had good years, and now time for them to experiance the hard times.
Time for the Canton to find their voice more than ever and support the team… maybe come up with some new songs might be good..

firstly, i loved Earnie as a player, but as a pundit, by god does he talk some absolute sh*t

i do think though last nights game was a worrying sign, for the reason, if anyone of our first 11 are out, those are the players we're looking to, to fill the gaps, i know it was one game, but Nelson, caught out of position too many times, Sang made to look like a sunday league player after several pints. Simpson was awful, midfield looked non existent. thats the worry for me.

we do need a clear out of the dead wood, most of whom played last night, and we need to bring in new players, which sounds like madness considering we signed 17 in the summer

But we had a 'clear out' of the 'deadwood' in the summer and most agreed it was time...

This group (with said 'couple' of additons couod thrive in this division and a 'capable' manager coukd get a decent tune...

I agre with Bonner (abve) :ayatollah:

I think we have the players to avoid relegation. But we badly need someone to reorganise them. I’m a “glass half full “ person, and will support the team no matter what level they play at.

And if we end up in League 1, then so be it. Current Premier League teams Leicester, Forest, Leeds, Brighton, Southampton and Brentford have all had time in League 1 recently and are doing just fine!

The majority of those who played are new players brought in at the beginning of this season

Nelson, Bagan, Sang, Ojo (has been here before) Harris, Colwell (not been convinced about him yet)

Morison is a great judge of player, or was atleast. Drameh, Doyle, Hugil, all proved great. Kipre another one, Rinamohta seems a decent player, i suspect Adams will be another good signing. however one or two of them i just don't think are good enough. Etete blows very hot or cold. the same with Sawyers.

People are entitled to their views, just because you don't agree it doesn't make them or you wrong.

It's a forum and it's about opinions. So maybe it's you who needs to get a grip.

By the way, I thought Wednesday was awful and we need a big improvement today or we're in big big trouble (we will be anyway but a win today would give us a little bit of breathing space).
