Cardiff City tonight had their third manager of the season in the dugout, as they took on Leeds United at Elland Road in their FA Cup third-round replay.

Goal. Rodrigo scores.

A stunning pass by Jack Harrison behind Jack Simpson and Rodrigo rounds Alnwick before slotting into the bottom corner. It was coming.

Time and time again Leeds attacked Cardiff.

Gnonto was played in, again, behind Sang and hits a square ball across goal, but Harrison's shot is cleared off the line by Bagan!

GOAL! Leeds United 2-0 Cardiff City (Rodrigo 34)
Goal. Rodrigo scores.

Pay money and you get quality like Callum Robinson, pay peanuts you get mostly crap.

The only positive thing I can see is that it's January so whoever comes in can try to get any tiny bit of quality as the current crop are just not good enough

Thank god (again) for Robinson. Who, bar one stupid moment agains swansea remains the only real threat in our side.

Actually odowda is one too but due to woeful left back options he is neutered.

Awful. Robinson the only player who seemed to care.

We're in huge trouble. A new manager needed ASAP.

Tan out.

Wow Glen Williams Tonight

By Glen Williams

Managerless Cardiff City put in a shambolic and embarrassing performance befitting a club in such a sorry state as they were hammered 5-2 by Leeds United and dumped out of the FA Cup for good measure.

The two ties were so different. At home the team played for Hudson, tonight they looked broken and rudderless. Whitehead clearly is just a coach and possibly a limited one at that. It hurts seeing your side hammered but we largely played our reserves and got what we deserved. If we are to survive this season we need experienced players as well as a new manager. Time is ticking. The next couple of weeks may define the next few years for this club.

Couldn’t have put it better myself. Need experienced manager in to stave off relegation and build for the future. No short term fixes just papers over cracks.

Let's be honest though...

Leeds went big. They needed this win! That was pretty much their strongest side.

Guys coming off the bench they paid millions for from big European clubs.

We play our second string. And bring first teamers on we signed from Crewe!

We should be doing better. Yes.

But tonight went pretty much as expected.

Let's get an experienced manager in now and sort this shit show in the league out!

What starting 11 players will start against Millwall?
What EFL side generally that play a second string v a Prem first team away from home come out as victors or expect to win?

I don’t disagree with the OP that our performance was absolutely woeful. But the crazy part is we still scored three perfectly acceptable goals against a largely PL line up. As I cannot believe there was anything wrong with Nelson’s one. Realistically 5 goals in 2 games.
Yet we are the lowest scorers in the championship. What a crazy game football can be.
