Depends what means of transport you're using Rita.
Coach, train ,car you're cutting it fine.
Walking - no chance.
Spaceship, plane or private helicopter (!) and you should be fine.

M6,M5 Ross, Monmouth etc. my only fear is rush hour around Brum and it's Ryder cup practice day tomorrow

I remember that when we went to Anfield a few years ago it took about 4 and a half hours to get there.
That was on the coach though and we spent ages covering the last few miles as it was rush hour and also Halloween I think!
Hopefully you should be ok but parking may be a problem if you're arriving close to kick-off.
Any chance you can leave say an hour earlier?
Then I think you'd be fine.

Maybe worth going Montmouth, up Abergavenny and Merthyr then down with the practice day tomorrow at the Celtic Manor which is going to cause major delays!

I'd leave at 2:45 to be safe. That will get you around the midlands just before 4 and you should be fine. Rock and roll dude.

Not a bad option. A better one might be the A472 to pontypool then drop down through caerphilly. You'd probably be hitting that just after 5:30 though so the timing ain't great old son.

you have a chance/ took me 4 hrs at that time two weeks ago
you might be alright going past celtic manor as its only 1st practise day tomorrw, shouldnt be bad time you get there..

..or you could cut across the top of the hill from cross keys to bedwas. Nice little short cut.
Downside is its easy to get lost and at time there can be livestock in the lanes
