I see they have made their 2nd signing in the window and it made me think of our first January window in the Premier.
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/footbal ... c66b38aeb5By then the relationship between Tan and Malky had broken down. The total opposite is happening at Forest with the manager, Steve Cooper being awarded a 3 year contract when at the time Forest were struggling in the Premier. We know what happened to us but Forest are now looking a good bet to stay up.
So where did it go wrong for us? We were not in a bad situation then, well in comparison to Forest we were not. The 2 main differences is the manager/owner relationship AND the desire for the owner to invest in gaps that have been revealed since starting the season in the Premier. If I recall right Malky wanted to invest in a striker as then our big import Acorn was just simple not up to it. This resulted in Tan throwing his teddy out of the pram and that to me was the start of the end for Malky.
Of course its all hindsight now but I just feel Tan should have stuck his hand in his pocket then.
