Out of a job and available, has he achieved anything?

MK Dons have confirmed they have parted company with Head Coach Liam Manning after 16 months in charge.

Manning, 37, leaves stadium mk after a difficult start to the 2022/23 season, with the Dons 23rd in League One with only 15 points from their opening 20 games and on the back of one win in 11 matches.

His last match in charge saw MK Dons defeated 2-1 at home by Fleetwood Town yesterday (10/12).

MK Dons have also confirmed that Manning’s coaching staff Chris Hogg, David Wright and Darren Smith will also leave their positions with the club.

Totally underwhelmed if true.

As I said on another thread, (assuming they won’t go back and beg SM to come back), then io Liam Manning would be a decent shout  :bluebird:

A better option than Whitehead.

Perhaps they've been told Warnock won't come back. Club can say what they want, common knowledge they spoke to NW.

Manning did a good job last season. But I'm not sure now is the time to be taking risks like this.

Ned,

I personally believe Warnock turned Dalman down.

Would not surprise me. He's doing well with his speaking tours and work for Sky. Doesn't need to come into a situation like this.

FFS this is really underwhelming.

If I was a businessman who wanted Premier league football I would put someone in charge who had a reputation. A reputation players would look up to. A reputation who could attract cheap players. A reputation who would get us promoted.

OUR CLUB and I purposely put it in capitals because this is our club. The owners are just custodians. OUR CLUB deserves better. OUR CLUB is a capital city one of only a few capital cities in Europe who don't have their capital club playing in tier 1

We deserve so much better

Annis
I personally believe Tan will have warnock nowhere near the club .
He is still seething over Murphy and madine not to mention vassell.

He was highly thought of before this year. I'm not sure what has happened at MK Dons, as things took a massive downward spiral this season and don't appear to have gotten much better since he left.

Fits the philosophy of "modern football," but I am not sure if he is the answer. Anyone we do end up with, though, will get my backing.

Perhaps in the same way that when we last got promoted to the Premier League we bought players who we thought would be useful for a promotion push after our inevitable relegation, this bloke is being employed with a view to a promotion push from League 1 next season.

"WHO" Another unispiring like harris has tan been watching him
or has he just gone down a long list and found something at the bottom.

Sounds ideal.

Never managed at this level before.

Out of work and available without having to pay compensation.

Sacked from his last job in a lower division.

The new Russell Slade.

This will just be another lower league manager on the cheap, probably do no better than the last 3, eventually get sacked and it starts again,we are going backwards and at a fast rate of knots.
Tan get out of OUR club and give someone who gives a shit an opportunity.

Who????

Took over a team and did well, had a pre-season to improve them and they were shite.... alarm bells

No.

Definitely not, but unfortunately, and in line with previous appointments, he’s available, and probably cheap. Definitely getting prepared for the bottom half of the first division.

Like I said before. Warnock would want to bring his own backroom staff.

If, as suggested, Yan Tan is choosing the manager, how would he of heard of this bloke?

100% not for me on either of those choices...PLEASE!

We now know Neil Warnock had a discussion with the politician and went away to 'have a think' before saying 'no' to the Bluebird job.

No one knows the reason(s) but it's not that he won't manage again!

It's all very worrying now. I'd have taken NW as a safe pair of hands with no money to spend until May and it scares me that Whitehead or the MK Dons guy would be on the list!

Why sack Hudson to go like for like? :?

'Beware your assistant' seems to be the theme of the day and I will be seriously worried, if the job goes to them or anyone like them!

We need a manager who instill confidence in playing staff and the supporters from the get-go right now and I guess being a little prejudicial, neither of these men would inspire...

Not being rude pal, and may have missed something but how do we know they had a meeting and Warnock turned us down?
