Taxi for Tan

Mon Jan 16, 2023 4:06 pm

I’ve been an avid reader of the site for many years, agreed and disagreed with many topics but never felt compelled to add to any argument. I’ve been watching city since 1989, my first game a 3-3 draw against Fulham and I was immediately hooked. In recent times I have enjoyed the success and credited Mr Tan for his involvement for allowing me to experience premiership football, trips to Wembley and the excitement of huge signings. I was a strong advocate for the Tan era and could even excuse some of his decision making as I still had lasting memories of unpaid tax bills, dodgy dealings and away trips to Torquay. However, everything comes to an end and my patience is limited. Defending Tan is becoming increasingly difficult, there is no strategic plan and I can’t see how he can continue to run my club into the ground. Where is the vision that has set us apart from the likes of Brentford, Brighton and Burnley. Investment in quality management filters through the whole club. You pay peanuts… Tan needs to leave and allow the club to almost start again. there has to be strategy in business and it appears that city have lost theirs amongst the chaos and confusion that is left. a transfer window is beckoning and the club is on the verge of relegation but we have no one steering the ship. Short term won’t cut it in football. Relegation will set us back years and if he can’t or won’t sell now, good luck next year with dwindling crowds and league one football.

Caught between a rock and a hard place, is he more likely to sell and completely throw in the towel if when we go down? Be lucky to get 30 million for us then? Even in the PL with all that revenue the jacks only went for about 120 million, Bournemouth the same recently….and the loon thinks he can get that for a soon to be league 1 club? :banghead:
