From about 41:30 he talks about Cardiff.

Interesting stuff about Tan, thought he was past that nonsense by the time we were relegated the first time

Loved Pelts during his time here. Still think he left too soon.

Says it all about Tan really. Wants to be the coach but knows F all about football.

Shows how out of touch Tan is on footballing matters, he doesn't have a clue, yes he puts the money in but let the football men do the football ffs

My View: Neil Harris will of been following orders from the Cardiff City Committee.

Lee Peltier on Neil Harris fallout:

Former Bluebirds fan favourite Lee Peltier has detailed the way he left the club in January 2020.

Peltier, who played more than 150 times for City and won promotion to the Premier League, left the Bluebirds mid-season and joined promotion-chasing West Brom, but all was not well behind the scenes, according to the now Rotherham defender.

Lee Peltier:

"A little regret of mine is the way I left Cardiff, because I had five unbelievable years there," he to The Tenth Pint Podcast.

"Neil Warnock left and as he left, we were in a discussion over a new contract I was going to sign. Then a new manager came in, Neil Harris, and I'll never forget the first day he came in, he came over to me and said: 'Pelts, I know the situation with your contract, don't worry we will get it sorted. Let me get my feet under the table and let me get to January."

"For whatever reason, it didn't materialise. And I can say it now, because I left, but me and the manager fell out over the contract, I thought he was a bit disrespectful towards me in the way he did it."

"We didn't see eye to eye over the contract, because up until then I'd played every game for him. So I was like, 'Why are your being like this?'

"I was at a point in my career where if I had to leave, I had to leave, but I did want to stay. We just fell out. Then the phone rang and Slaven Bilic rang me.

"It was mental, because he left me out of the squad, Neil Harris, for two or three weeks where we weren't seeing eye to eye and the last game he put me in the squad was against West Brom and that day, Slaven Bilic had rung me. How mad is that? I ended up saying, 'I'm leaving.' Because I had a great relationship with the club and the chairman, they terminated my contract.

"I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to the fans. That's was the only sour bit at Cardiff, I didn't like the way I left."

I liked Pelts and to hear the way we treated him is making me angry how many players now have left the club like that Patterson and Bamba was treated bad too he talks so high of warnock and Cardiff.
I met Pelts and his father down the city and they always had time to talk to you and all supporters a good man and he was a good solid defender too

Enjoyed that, I like interviews like this as gives you some real insights. Interesting how much he sings NWs praises, man management and proper team building. I know we really should be appointing a long term manager to build as opposed to a short term fix but maybe what NW brings is exactly what we need right now. I'd like the former of course but I see the merits in both given our present situation and NW is available at this present moment. Thanks for sharing.

I didn’t read it like “we” treated him badly. I read it that Neil Harris did. The club appeared to facilitate his move by terminating his contract.

The club are between a rock and hard place. Offer a solid reliable player a new contract with the knowledge the manager won’t play him. Or get him off the wage bill and allow him to continue his career at a time he just wants to be playing.

.. and who was Neil Harris ordered by? The dictator in chief, who is the club.

We are assuming and reading in to things there. He said himself he had a falling out with Harris and had a good relationship with the club and chairman.

I know few of us can exhibit any happiness with how the club is run (with the exception of some covert under cover jack fans). But he has said his piece having already mocked Vincent tan in the same interview. Why hold back?

Fwiw I thought he was great for us and losing him was the start of the steady decline of our solid aggressive defensive unit. We may have ball players now but I’d have taken that back 4 even now.

And how do ‘you’ know that?
Just another opportunity to Tan bash, give it a rest ffs.
Peltier clearly says Neil Harris, he didn’t say Vincent Tan did he?

Amazing that Pelts gets eulogised when no longer with the club. I remember the flak he regularly got for not being a modern wing back type and it used to annoy the crap out of me.
I thought he was (and probably still is) a cracking full back and another leader (by example) on the pitch.
He is such a fit guy that could have easily seen his career out here, making a big contribution on and off the pitch.

Proper no nonsense fullback, could always rely on pelts. May not have been the most modern or fashionable but solid every game
