NEIL WARNOCK

Sun Jan 15, 2023 11:55 am

Lets get one thing out of the way, When Dalman told Hudson that there was no contact with Warnock it was a allegedly a lie.
Dalman had contact with Warnock weeks ago, but there is no way that he was going to tell Hudson that.

We are looking to bring Warnock in till the end of the season, whether he wants the job or not is unknown at the moment,
The board have said they are looking for a permenant manager immediately, that is true but only for next season, not for this one.

It s a mess down city, I like Hudson, but it needed someone with experience and he should never have been put in the position, as he was marked down to fail. Lets hope that the board pay the money and get in a good manager.

Dyche would be the one for me but I am wondering why has he been out of a job for so long, is it because he is still looking for a job in the premier or that he wants more money than championship clubs are prepared to pay, as i do not think it would be down to wanting big money to bring in players, as he kept Burnley in the premier on a shoestring.

I wonder what more drama is in store for us city fans :banghead:

I cant believe that even this bunch of idiots running the club would sack Hudson in the transfer window without having someone lined up. We cant afford to wait a couple of weeks so it seems quite probable that they have spoken to Warnock about a short term deal. Nice retirement bonus if he keeps us up -which he almost certainly will do - and leaves a hero in the summer. Makes sense all round.

My thought was exactly the same,we have apparently had the embargo taken away but now don't have a manager to get any players in.
Absolute bloody circus

Re: NEIL WARNOCK

Lets get real Here!

It was known that Warnock was at the Vale last week, talking to Dalman. ( I was told from a reliable source) I think it was the case that Hudson was on a "final warning" win on Saturday or you are out hence the speed of last night's announcement. So We send for the fire brigade in the form of Warnock to keep us up for this Season only ( its tailor-made for a Warnock style Rescue), whilst the Club tries to sort out the Sala mess in readiness for the Summer.
In the meantime I would hope that a buyer for the club is being lined up and the whole thing moves on with new momentum for next season. :old:

I just hope that the likes of Tan and Dalman don't allow their own egos to get in the way, :banghead:

If Carlsberg made Cardiff City decisions then this would be the best in the circumstances

Working with a chairman who a) may not know who you are and b) may allegedly not be 100% truthful in their dealings with you is hardly going to impress potential managerial candidates is it?

Re: NEIL WARNOCK

Sun Jan 15, 2023 1:59 pm

If Warnock does come back I will get behind him 110 percent but tbh I'd rather we got someone in now long term with a view to build.

Re: NEIL WARNOCK

Sun Jan 15, 2023 2:17 pm

Can we not just get a young up and comming manager, Even if we go down rebuild the team and get us in a better position that we are in now, instead of going through the same crap every season of appointing a new manager in January on a temp contract until the end of the season they keep us up get a long term contract then gets sacked in dec/jan then the process starts again, the club needs stability a manager that will take us in a direction even if we have to take a step back into league 1 then rebuild at least there will be a direction

Re: NEIL WARNOCK

Do you think that it is that easy to get out of league 1 just look at the teams in league 1 and 2 who wete once in the premier

Exactly, if we go down it’ll be a disaster, Sunderland took several seasons to come back up and are a much bigger club than us. If we go down I think we’ll be there a while. Also correct me if I’m wrong will we still have restrictions on transfers (frees and loans only) until the full fee to Nantes is paid

Get Warnock in to see out this season then move him upstairs….can’t risk another Harris or Hudson …Warnock knows the club and the league..

This ain’t what I would ideally want but we need to stay up …end of

Rog, some of our 'fans' live in ivory towers amd believe in magic wands...

Life ain't like that and our club need (once again) to fire-fight to the end of this season in the hope that off-field 'issues' will sort themselves out and we can look to move foeward once again

Like you, I alluded to the potential return of Neil ap Warnock a few weeks ago and also that the politician's denial that any 'talks' had to be taken in context (of the words he used)

It's still early days but it's what the club (nee Tan) wants in the short-term and now it's up to Neil Warnock to accept or decline the challenge...

My personal feeling is for the former and we will see him back... :ayatollah:

I like the idea of warnock and bamba to be honest as Bamba I think will be a good manager for the future he has a great way about him and he can learn from Warnock

Re: NEIL WARNOCK

No way SD would come here, not only would he want money but he’s a mate of Malky, used to be his assistant before he came to us. I’m sure he’s been warned well away like so many others…..

Re: NEIL WARNOCK

Having slept on it overnight,it’s going to be much easier to stay up this year that get promoted next year if we go down.
So Warnock til the end of the season could be our best choice.

When he first joined us his wife read this board and said "they want you", slightly different vibe I'm getting this time.

Could I respectfully suggest you check out this "reliable source" as to whether such a meeting took place at the Vale (or anywhere else) last week (or even within the last couple of years). Is there a Mehmet Dalman doppeltganger around or was it just a made up story?

ROTHERHAM / MIDDLESBROUGH / CARDIFF CITY

Neil Warnock saved All three clubs from relegation

Plus 8 promotions, how can anyone doubt his credentials

CARDIFF CITY NEED HIM NOW TO SAVE US

Till the end of the season Warnock & Sol Bamba

Whilst in many ways it would be a backwards step I just can't think of anybody else who would give us the best chance of surviving this season.

Would Sol come back? If I remember he wasn't too happy with the way things ended for him at Cardiff.

But do you agree that Neil Warnock got involved in some very questionable activities when he was manager here, and at previous clubs?

Is Sol Bamba still a client of Willie McKay`s son (he was when he signed for us)?

I agree that Tan & Dalman over saw everything and they had to sign it all of.

We had abd gave this famous CCFC Committee do we not who over see everything.

Keith, your not stupid the buck stops at the top and Tan and Dalman have to accept results.

There is NO else who is capable, they won’t work for this Regime.
Bamba would only come back with Warnock.

But you haven`t answered either question. What are your opinions on the questions I asked?

I agree entirely that the board of directors and owner are culpable in allowing Neil Warnock to get away with certain things which if the directors had the "balls" to stand up to the owner wouldn`t have happened like the very dodgy structure of the deal he negotiated with his friend Willie McKay. They should also have questioned and refused to sign off some of the transfer deals he did for the financial benefit of his son. Accusations of taking money from players to select them are a different matter.

So the board and owner are at fault themselves but it was Neil Warnock who instigated and pushed for these things. Because of that I personally wouldn`t want him back anywhere near our club.
