Darren Moore has described Cardiff recalling Mark McGuinness

Darren Moore has described Cardiff recalling Mark McGuinness as a "blow" to Sheffield Wednesday following a string of excellent performances for the Owls.

McGuinness won the club's Player of the Month awards for November and December and Cardiff could not ignore his displays and chose to recall him at the earliest opportunity.

Save a FIFA technicality which likely means he will miss tomorrow's game against Wigan, McGuinness is back in the Welsh capital and will play the rest of the season with the Bluebirds.

On his recall, Owls boss Moore said: "Mark McGuinness is back at Cardiff. It's a blow because of how well he did here. I can't give him enough praise and Cardiff too for allowing him to come here and help the team.

"Hopefully he goes back and gets some Championship football because he's certainly ready for it."
