Doubt it, Plymouth and Tractors going up, Wednesday bottle merchants

Ask them if they'd take Dalman too and we'll even throw in 3000 lightly used red seats.

Thought nelson outstanding on Sunday, jury still out on mcguiness at championship level.

I with you there mate.
Trouble is with Nelson, he could play Saturday and be awful. Needs to be consistent (a 7/10) rather than the odd flash here and there.
McGuiness I’m still yet to be convinced at this level, I’d love him to prove me wrong though.

Can't understand the negative comments. Overall Nelsons been a decent servant to the club and fell foul of the change in direction we are under going at the moment. He'll do well at Wednesday should he go. Best wishes to him anyway.

Sadly, it's what some are about, Martin...

He’s a decent player Nelson, yep he’s got a mistake in him but so have most championship defenders

He will do ok in Div1

I would keep him

Nothing sad about it. It's being honest.
The guy makes mistake after mistake. Went all last season with him and Bagan costing us matches. I'm all for supporting and given a chance, but equally got to draw a line at people simply not being good enough for this level.

Now that McGuinnes is back, why not? As said above, Nelson has been a good servant to the club. Has strengths and weaknesses. And did have a cracking game last week. But I would wish him well and see him move on.

Why not, because McGuinness is on his way out. It will be interesting if he plays this weekend. McGuinness that is not Nelson.

Do we know for sure McGuinness is on his way out?

If mcguiness plays this weekend he cannot play for another team this season .

Even if sold, you can only play for two teams in a season

Glad mcguiness is back, I wasn't one who didn't rate him before, my only complaint was he seemed to be too slow on the ball although that may have been down to lack of movement Infront of him.
I'm undecided on letting nelson goz The one thing you can't fault about him is his commitment.
Personally I've always thought he's a decent sub who will try block everything with any part of his body, happy to do the dirty work.
Granted he has a mistake or 2 in him. But if we are under the kosh and trying to see a game out he's not a bad sub to use

All fair points that I agree with

What the hell to posters on here want from a squad player?

He comes into the side as a squad player last Sunday and does a fantastic job. Does everything asked of him and more.

He’s obviously not the first name on the team sheet but does a great job when picked to help the team out.

Nelson, great game Sunday, good professional attitude, trains hard ready to step in when needed, keep him as we need experience.

Those who say he has a mistake in him? Well name a CB who hasn't.

Jules I don’t disagree with pretty much all of that. My worry is his ability to play the way that our CBS are playing atm and that goes for McGuiness too. Great stoppers who can do a job but (and with respect, this is only my opinion) I’m not sure he’d be able to play / pass out of defence the way that NG and Kipre currrntly do.
Mate this isn’t a negative post just an honest opinion up for dis usdion and as always, I’d love him to prove me wrong as you say he puts 100% inru every game.

Some of the comments on here about our own players are a disgrace

Nelson has given 100% for us, trained well and always been professional.

Is he good enough for this level and our new style of play? No he isn't.

But as fans do we really have to start slagging our own players off.

f**k sake, show some decorum.

Agree with wuch lack of respect. Nelson has always always given 100% when playing. Back in 90s that all we ever wanted but modern times mistakes players make are massively held against him despite the blocks and bodies on the line. If Nelson does go he will always get an round of applause from me
