Sean Morrison says joining Rotherham United was an easy decision and says he is raring to go.
Yesterday, Morrison put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season with the Millers after leaving Cardiff last week. Manager Mark Hudson paid tribute to the defender, who has just returned from a serious knee injury which sidelined him for almost nine months.
He will wear the number 23 shirt in south Yorkshire, and could make his debut for his new club as soon as this weekend, with Blackburn Rovers the visitors to the New York Stadium.
Sean Morrison:
"I had a really good conversation with the gaffer and got his vibe and what he wanted from me it was an easy decision to come here," he said. "I know a lot of players who have played under him (Matt Taylor) and they’ve said wonderful things which made my decision much easier.
"I’m coming back after a long-term injury but have been back in training for a few months and have been raring to go for a while now. This is an opportunity for me to try and play games and show people that I can still do it. I’ll go out there and give everything. I want to play for the badge, get out there and do my best for RUFC.
"I’m a defender at heart, like to do the horrible stuff, win headers, win tackles, blocks, organise with the main priority being to keep clean sheets. I’ve been lucky to score a few goals in my career as well. Whenever I’ve played against Rotherham teams they have always been good at set-pieces so hopefully I can get on the end of a few.
"It is a long way from home but I spent some time in Yorkshire some years ago and loved it. Hopefully I can get the family up as soon as possible."

I was quite suprised with his move away after all the treatment and time spent getting him ba k up to speed and talk of him coming back into the side
at least on the forum
So was quite shocked he suddenly up and left. And with speculation nelson leaving it seemed more strange
but yes good luck to him and what a pairing with bambe for a few seasons.
