Big decision for Hudson after that first half.

I think one of the differences was 4 genuine attackers were on the field and Davies was a lot better than i thought he'd be at that position, although Leeds were poor.
I am not a fan of O'Dowda as a flat back 4 full back as he offers class further up.

Not so difficult after a poor second half performance - no shots on goal and no threat whatsoever as per most of our league games.
Pity Bagan is banned as I'd be tempted to play him in goal after that save.

No, but Rinamota should be aregular starter. Also I prefer Sawyers in the midfield.
Having Davies fit is a plus for 2nd half of the season. If Etete is fit I think he and Davies could link up well. (Obviously Etete is not the finished product, but he is improving).
Good effort today I I was amazed that Hudson used Tanner as first sub wheb he had O Dowda acailable

Good performances from many today including Ojo. Thought Bagan played well and took one for the team. He's decent enough to slot in when available to allow O'Dowda to play where he can hurt the opposition. Sang looked good at RB too. Davies has a really rawness about him but scares the opposition without a doubt. Decent performance but shame that we didn't see it out as Hudson obviously tried to by putting players on at the death who haven't performed all season like Ralls and Whintle to a lesser degree.

Personally thought Sawyers was a ghost and that he robs a living. I genuinely don't believe I would have noticed if we played with ten players and he was taken off. Has some nice passes and can pick them out, but he goes missing. I'd prefer to see Colwill in the role with Wintle and Rino (he was great today) behind him.
I don't think I would start the same team, either. It was a weakened Leeds team with 7 changes, and we gave away two poor goals. For me, Kipre starts with either Mcguinness or Simpson and Ng at right back.
I don't believe we can afford to drop Wintle, O'Dowda, or Robinson, either. That said, they showed great fight and spirit, which is a positive based on previous performances.

no, but thought sawyers rinomatta davies and nelson should be around first team
nelson put his body on the line a couple of times.

A few stray kicks aside I thought Alnwick had a very good game.
Sun Jan 08, 2023 6:29 pm
I would definitely start with Alnwick, felt more confident in goals.
Good seeing Davies back

Simply No but maybe yes in the replay.
Sun Jan 08, 2023 6:40 pm
Absolutely not. That score massively flattered us. As exciting a game and a joy to watch it was we got anyway with one there if they were any good they could have knocked 5 or 6 past us.

No, Leeds didn't turn up today. And we played a CB partnership who've not played together. Don't overlook that.
Andy rino needs to start though with wintle in my books.Simpson could be a shout though aswell.
Davies has to start. His pace is unbelievable.

As young as he is I thought Tanner was lazy when he came, very rarely broke into a sprint or chasing back.

With you on that. For a lad plucked from obscurity I was expecting to see him help the team by closing down to stop their build ups. But he didn’t and they got momentum from the back. Shame really as I was quite enthusiastic about him after seeing him against Cambridge in the pre season match.

Bagan's out (Red Card) so that's a 'NO' from the start...

Leeds poor????
They came out of the blocks flying in both halves and were technically very good but City's tight, resolute defence repelled them before we took hold of the game for half an hour
Leeds issue, for me, was over committing their players when going forward, which left us with space to attack; something we did very well for once and is a message to the manager!

Disappointed with Tanner look very lazy when he came on.

I think Leeds underestimated as well, I did as well tbh. Wigan will be a different prospect, they are fighting for survival so will be a lot more physical.

I think Davies has earned the right to start uptop ahead of Harris. He led the line against Leeds brilliantly. He's so far ahead of Harris as a footballer. Sawyers playing deeper was brilliant
