“ SEAN MORRISON SAYS “

Thu Jan 05, 2023 3:48 pm

MY VIEW:
Remember how this Hierarchy treated Sol Bamba:

Cardiff need a leader and are in a relegation Battle, Morrison scores more goals than 5 strikers put together and Morrison is a defender.

UNBELIEVABLE:

Sean Morrison was not even offered a contract:

Over 280 appearances for the Bluebirds, 33 goals and still only 31 years old.

Been with Cardiff City more than 8 yrs.

SEAN MORRISON:

‘You’ve made me a better person and I’ve treasured every moment. To the incredible fans, my biggest thanks is to you. You’re the heartbeat of Cardiff City. I always gave 100% and leave proud and honoured to have had the opportunity to play so many games for this wonderful club.’

‘No words will ever be enough to tell you what this club means and will always mean to me. The last 8 1/2 years have been filled with some of the most incredible moments and memories. To every staff member and player I’ve ever had the joy of working with, thank you.’

MARK HUDSON:

“ I want to put on record Sean will be leaving. I’ve had long conversations with Sean, he has been here for eight and a half years. Promotion. Won player of the season. A huge influence. He created some amazing environments for players in the dressing room. So welcoming to everyone around the club. He’s been a huge influence and I want to wish him all the very best going forward.

I think he can get back up to speed. It was a huge injury at a disappointing time in his career. I’ve told him he can get fitter and stronger.@

Its not unbelievable at all , we don't need morison why would we offering him a contract its not defenders we need, its strikers, no way should the club offer Morison a contract that would of ment we couldn't get another player in coz we would of been staffed tonl the 23 players , the club us right in this , hope we can get a goal scorer in .

Sorry for the way it ended for Sean but when you have a young CH pulling up trees in league one and possibly looking to send Nelson on loan it makes no sense to give him a contract. As good as he was for us there's no guarantee he will ever reach that level again and I prefer to think of him as a legend and not watch a watered down version. Good luck and thanks Mozza.

Always liked Sean, cut from the same cloth as Don Murray and Phil Dwyer, you just knew he would run through brick walls for you, 100% man every time he put the shirt on, top bloke.

Sad to see Sean Morrison leaving the #Bluebirds after 8 and a half years. What a servant he’s been.

Consistent performer on the pitch and you ask any of the players (especially the young ones) about his importance off it.

Could of been a big help in the current situation.

Great player and a great man too, he certainly loved the club. Sad that he's leaving and the way it ended for him with the injury.
Some of his goal celebrations had me in stitches.

Sad but best to rather than be less the player we knew.
PS. Thank you Sean and you have showed some others how to leave a club with dignity, class farewell.
