Wales axe assistant boss as Rob Page to shake things up after World Cup flop

Speaking about the decision, Wales manager Rob Page said: "I would like to thank Kit for his hard work and contribution to the national team over the last two years, including working in two major tournaments over that period.


"As we look to reach more major tournaments, change is always important to continue that development in the squad.

"I would like to wish Kit the very best for the future."

Wales will start their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign against Croatia in Split on March 25.

i won't lie annis, i'm not sold on Page, i think his game management is very poor. hasn't learned from the previous Euro campaign.

Keep Kit and bin Page imo.

If anybody should have Been sacked it was Page. If he manages to get Wales through to the Euros it will be a miracle, He will still play the golden oldies as he has so far. No indication of giving new blood a chance I don't think he knows there are other Welsh players out there he lives in his own little world he needs to go before he drags Wales down any further. He was lucky to get Wales through to the World Cup now has undone all the work done by previous managers. He might be still good enough to manage Tylerstown FC but Wales he's way out of his class sorry but that's how I see him. NO idea..

I’d have to agree with that . That Iran game was one of the most painful games of football I have ever watched . When he leaves us he’ll go onto manage lower half of championship / a league 1 outfit . It was always a difficult one to manage given he inherited it from giggs and the reasons for his sabbatical

Page’s game management is very poor at times….doesn’t seem to be willing to get the subs ….hoping they bring in an attacking minded assistant…
Never been convinced by Page and certainly can’t see him managing above Championship level in the future

Hopefully we will bring Osian back in.
