Neil Warnock in with Sol Bamba as his No 2 as a potential long-term successor. Bring some steel, work ethic into pace into these players and passion & belief And goals! Remember them
The current Regime despite publicly saying Warnock wasted their money have behind the scenes kept in close contact with Warnock and have on numerous times thought about recalling him.
They are def thinking of bringing him in to save our season if he says yes.

no thanks…we were near relegation spot when he left..we haven’t got the players that suit his style.
Bam bam no experiance.
Need an experienced manager but not Warnock.
Prefer Dean Smith …
Sun Jan 01, 2023 5:39 pm
We have more chance of appointing Deliah Smith than Dean Smith in my opinion.
Something needs to change though - and that means Hudson, who has no experience whatsoever of being a championship manager. The cheap option hasnt worked - maybe Dalman and Choo could take a 50% pay cut and that would pay for someone decent to come in.
Sun Jan 01, 2023 6:06 pm
No we don't need to go backwards...
Frustrating as decent managers were available. Welshman Rob Edwards was perfect but Luton have decent owners who know how-to get the manager right
Sun Jan 01, 2023 6:18 pm
Hypothetically if he did come back and we can’t sign anyone.
What is a warnock team with the players we have? Fwiw I think Morrison will be back In. He loved mozza.
Presumably he would play more directly.

No thanks. Hudson needs for time in my option.

TBH my mindset from the start of the season has been relegation. Our luck has slowed right down. So if we are going down then yes lets keep Hudson and let him learn.

I believe we need a change but I just can’t see Warnock working in this situation. We don’t have the players to play the Warnock way and, unless the embargo is lifted, he can’t bring in players he could play his way.
Personally I’d have Morison back to finish the job he started but we know that won’t happen.
It’s a tricky situation but whilst I’m a Warnock fan in terms of results, I just can’t see it working.
Sun Jan 01, 2023 8:16 pm
Morison caused most of this. Hudson is incapable of working with what he has - he has just about zero experience - and certainly nothing that is of any use in this situation.
new manager please

I think you’ve forgotten that under Morison with 17 new players we were settling in quite nicely. Particularly when you think that he was without Etete and Robinson only had a couple of games before Morison was sacked.
We weren’t tearing up trees with Morison but there was an identifiable style of play, the players had bought into it and some of the performances were excellent.
Morison won’t be coming back but he’s more suited to this squad than Warnock is.
Sun Jan 01, 2023 9:31 pm
Agreed re the team not being setup for Warnock, it isnt setup for Hudson and Morison wont be coming back as he lost the dressing room.
The annoying is that string 5 or so wins together and we'll be top 10 / 6 - I just cant see Hudson being able to change things.

Bring in Dave Jone while your at it.
Blimey can't believe you want a 74 year old to come back when he is retired. Your living in the past. It's time to look to the future. Not bringing the past back. Plus this team is completely different style to the way he would play so another huge rebuild before anything would happen.
Sun Jan 01, 2023 10:15 pm
Sam, one new player and you have Warnock
Get a proper 9 and voila Warnock ball
Romeo Morrison Kipre NG
Rinomhota Wintle Ralls (c)
Robinson new bloke O'Dowda
Stop tossing around playing pointless triangles, long ball to the big fella, who wins the ball or pushes the line up 10M's. Three there to win the second ball then goals and assist from flanks

Ian Evatt got Barrow promoted and doing a good job at Bolton.

I’m assuming that if NW was taken on it would be with a large carrot if he kept us up. For that reason I think that he wouldn’t necessarily change to the ‘Warnock ball’ style, just maybe tweak one or two things and get them motivated to ‘die for the club’

Yeah I was surprised I did too.
Dave Jones would be class.

Warnock worked miracles in the promotion season, making him a City legend. However, his signings after that were absolutely shocking. we're in this situation now because Warnock packed the squad out with terrible footballers on high wages/long contracts. It ruined us. Also, this Sol Bamba band wagon is just clutching at straws in my view, there's nothing at all to say he'd be any good as a manager. He was a enthusiastic defender and a good servant like...Hudson.
I'd like a better manager, challenging for the play offs with good quality championship players, but our owner is looking to budget and merely survive in the division. i don't think that 4 draws in a row is THAT bad, and yesterday we weren't torn apart, Blackburn's goal was a freak accident. It's Not yet time to panic, we're competing well enough to survive in my book. Just need a greater emphasis on attacking.

That would work for me tbh!

Going backwards is that worse than going downwards? I am really gutted to see what this club has turned into we had great times years ago even under the crook Ridsdale but then it had a nasty taste the red was bad then even after the blue the enjoyment had gone it was not our club any more and then Warnock got some of that good feeling again it felt more of our club and when Warnock left we were safe in mid table not in a relegation battle just to remind the warnock haters on here.
Warnock is the only thing I can see that will not see this club going to league 1 and with this bunch running the club even lower

Normally I would be dead against going backwards and bringing back somebody like Warnock.
We’re in pretty dire straights although we have plenty of time left.
In this case I wouldn’t be against it in the short term until the end of season.
I think if you ask anybody about who could save any club from relegation Hudson v Warnock and there’s only one winner.
The other option is to bring in a decent manager now but is that going to happen?
Mon Jan 02, 2023 12:52 pm
Unfortunatley Hudson is not capable or experience enough to turn things around - and his results prove this. It is relegation form, which ever way you try and explain it.
So it has to change - if the choice is Mark or Neil - then we need Neil. If it's Mark Hudson or someone else - I dont think we have enough time to try our luck again. The Job Description needs to say - must have experience of getting teams out of trouble and away from the relegation zone.
I would also not trust Tan, Dalman or Choo to make an informed decision. Ole - fail, Slade - hopeless, Trollope - fail, Harris - fail, McCarthy - fail, morison - fail, Hudson - failing.
The only managers we have had then have done anything are Jones - Mackay and Warnock.

Is this first line sarcasm? If not I agree as he would get this lot going . Best football ever under Jones and he didn't give a toss who liked him or not.

Sam, in ordinary times you would be right; but these are not ordinary times, as we are close to the relegation spots, our club is seemingly in financial turmoil and we have an embargo
Something positive needs to happen and it needs to happen sooner rather than later or even more former supporters will walk away, just as you and your dad did at the end of last season
Those of us who were there before Sam Hammam, know that these are not the worst we have had; but they are increasingly getting worse
If we are to have a positive future, the foundations need to be laid now and it neefs to start with someone who can not only motivate the team but also get them winning again
Happy New Year to you, dad and the family and I hope you are having a great time out in New Zealand
