Rob Burrow's wheelchair accessible van vandalised in Castleford
Rugby league star and motor neurone disease fundraiser Rob Burrow's wheelchair accessible van was vandalised while his family were out for a Christmas meal, his father has said.
Geoff Burrow said they had been out in Castleford, West Yorkshire, on Friday when the vehicle was targeted.
"Unfortunately a disgrace of a person decided to scratch all over Rob's disability van," he tweeted.
"How low are some people hey!"
He added: "Sleep well you scum of a person."
The family had been out for an evening meal at a restaurant.
West Yorkshire Police has been asked to comment.

I sincerely hope the perpetrator gets caught and stood in front of Rob Burrows and his distressed family to explain 'why?'

Just started watching a series on Netflix About this subject but its a bit more serious crime stuff than this.
The episodes concentrate on one crime and this first episode is about a 25 year old male gang member murdering an old woman in her home, she was 72 I believe. The gang got the wrong house they wanted to rob and this 25 year old was confronted by the woman. He has already been in prison and did not want to go back there. The woman had seen his face and that triggered him to shoot her. The guy was arrested 12 days later, April 2010, and in 2011 he was sentenced to 55 years in prison. Twelve years later the Netflix channel has recorded quite a few stories like this with the intention of getting down to why these people did it and what percussions has it left on both sides of the fence, culprits and victims.
So keeping it brief lets start on the culprits side. The 25 year old murderer was interviews and just can't understand what triggered him except for what he said. He did show remorse, sincerely apologise to the family and his own family and he claimed he lives with the fact he is disgusted with himself. Now is he saying this for the cameras or is he being honest. You would have to watch the interview yourself to judge on that one.
So onto another murderer who was part of the same gang but was prosecuted for something else. He claimed the biggest part of their downfall is the gangs themselves. Most gang members came from broken families where gangs welcomes them in and showed "love". Love that came at a price but even so won over their recruits. Our 25 year old mum was a druggy and his father deserted him at the age of 4. The outside family, aunts, uncles showed no interest in him. One of the uncles interviewed said we as a family failed him. His mother now clean lives with the regret she was a druggy. Overall you can't help but feel for his family.
Now onto the culprits family. A number of them were interviewed and their argument to him was although he had a rough upbringing he still had that choice to go down that route or not. Bottom line is don't use the bad family thing as an excuse. We all have choices and there is no argument against that.
Tried to keep this short but as you can see that's impossible. Judging someone with knowing is not good but there is no excuse for bad actions.

Society as we once knew it is dead and gone as whatever lowlife did this will ( if caught ) stand in front of a judge and say its mental health m'lord.
And that is not having a pop or ignoring mental health issues it's just seems to be the easy way out for some at present

There's a lot of feral people out there.
It starting with the Liberal way of dealing with kids in school.I had 6 cuts in school and it never affected me.
A mate of mine, was walking home from a Cwmbran pub and was beat up. A year later he dropped dead.
Absolute wanker who done this to Rob's car.
We need tougher sentencing.
