So of course City wanted to strengthen in January, now they are virtually set to miss out on any strengthening:

Lennon Peake was high on Cardiff City’s list of players they wanted in January.

Peake was once touted as one of the most talented young players at the Hammers, but has struggled with injury in recent years.
Cardiff City Forum revealed last month that the 20-year-old had been on trial with the Bluebirds, and it's understood he made a positive impression during his short stint, netting in an under-21s clash with Charlton Athletic. Peake also spent time training with the first team, where again he caught the eye, and sources in the English capital claim City were open to making his stay official this January.

The terms of that potential move are unclear, with Peake still contracted to the Premier League side. But in any case, Cardiff now look set to miss out, with the player's representatives understood to already be looking elsewhere.

Annis, this is gutting and I can't contain my dismay at losing out on this talent who wanted to come to Cardiff City FC

Very worrying.
I spoke to the family last night, I had told them for years about how big we were and how great our fan base was.
Well we lose out yet again, while another club will benefit, Good luck to Lennon.

Lennon played for West Hans U21’s this week and is looking fit again.
