Peake was once touted as one of the most talented young players at the Hammers, but has struggled with injury in recent years.
Cardiff City Forum revealed last month that the 20-year-old had been on trial with the Bluebirds, and it's understood he made a positive impression during his short stint, netting in an under-21s clash with Charlton Athletic. Peake also spent time training with the first team, where again he caught the eye, and sources in the English capital claim City were open to making his stay official this January.

Peake was once touted as one of the most talented young players at the Hammers, but has struggled with injury in recent years, missing two full season before seemingly making a comeback at the start of this season. However, he has struggled for minutes in West Ham's academy set-up and appears to be seeking more regular action elsewhere.
