We've seen Brazil play Neymar in a free role and Argentina play Messi in a free role, so why can't be try a similar setup with Colwill in that position? I think a setup like above with 2 midfielders behind Colwill protecting the defence will give Colwill the freedom to be our "Messi". He has way too much talent to not be utilised.

I think the combinations out wide will work too. Robinson cutting inside from the left will open up the space for O'Dowda to get forwards from left back. Down the right, Whyte obviously offers a threat but he can also track back to cover when Romeo charges forwards. I don't think we would have conceded against Blackpool if Whyte was still on the pitch, he would have worked back and stopped the cross.

Most importantly, I believe this system will play to our strengths more. We've shown we are capable of playing some decent football, our second goal against Stoke involved a lovely passing move and link up play. Getting Colwill added in there will improve our creativity in the final third, without leaving us exposed with the 2 midfielders protecting behind.

Obviously, when Philogene gets fully fit and back to his brilliant best, he could come in, but it's about finding the right balance, with the right combinations for the team to function successfully. We don't really have many options at the moment, but I believe in our current predicament, we have to simply start playing our most talented players. We need to find a way to fit Colwill into our team.

I didn't compare Colwill to Neymar or Messi.

I said we could play Colwill in a similar role to how Brazil utilised Neymar and Argentina utilised Messi.

You really need to learn how to read properly.

In fairness he did say we could use Colwill like Brazil use Neymar and Argentina use Messi, he didn’t actually compare him to them. I tend to agree with him also.

It’s difficult to accommodate Colwill into the starting eleven as his best position in my opinion is the position in which Robinson started on Saturday.

Etete and Robinson have to start next game obviously and I’d like to see Phiolgene start ahead of Whyte.
Whether Robinson can shine on the left of midfield, I’m not sure as I think Etete will be isolated in the system you have proposed.

Colwill can be our Messi you said.

That’s pretty much comparing him.

Imagine how scared the crowd behind the goal would be with Colwill in a free role? All those shots possibly hitting them.

I think colwill deserves more of a chance to show what he can do. But right now he needs to force his way in.

Personally I think the first names on the team sheet are kipre wintle Robinson and we build out from that spine.

I actually think whyte deserves to start more than colwill at the moment. He’s looks confident even when things aren’t going well. He just gets on witb things and regularly pops up looking for work. With him and Robinson supporting Etete we have some movement and some graft.

We've got Etete playing like Harry Kane. Colwill like Messi.
When Isaac comes back he can be Neymar. I can't see us losing another game all season.

I'd be tempted to try 3-4-1-2
Allsop
Ng
Kipre
Denham
O'dowda
Romeo
Wintle
Ralls
Colwill
Etete
Robinson
