Clearly not up to championship standard .Needs replacing

The stats speak for themselves. Very honest and hard working but not quite good enough.

He will be behind Isaac Davies when he returns fully and I think James Crole will be promoted to the first team next year as well.

I agree.

You can’t help but want Harris to do well. He puts his heart and soul into every game but, in my opinion, I don’t think he is going to make it at this level.

There are better, younger players coming through so a move will probably benefit the club and player.

It’s a shame but if he was going to make it he would have done so by now as a striker.

Good, never good enough and to rely on him as a regular first teamer showed how low we have sunk.

However, is the embargo showing us that we now have to get rid of poor players? If so, then replacements will be worse....

I believe he is an Eion Doyle level forward, he'll make a career at L1 but in all honesty that's where we are heading anyway

He’s way off championship standard
He couldn’t score that many when going on loan to the lower leagues
BUT can we get shot of players if we have an embargo ?

People used to say on here that he wasn’t good enough and I used to think what r they seeing that I’m not , I thought he was gona be great for us BUT now I can see what all you others have been saying for the last 2 seasons , such a shame but he isn’t championship level unfortunately

Harris is no Doyle..he has over 150 goals admittedly most at div 1 or 2 but scoring 1 every 3 games. He out scored Harris, Madine and a load of others while he was here. We have had no one who could score at that rate in any division for a long time

If we are under a transfer embargo I don't think we can afford to let him go.

If we are under an embargo are we able to extend contracts of existing players?

As for Harris great attitude and a hard worker but a striker will always be judged on the goals they score and he has not and will not score enough for a Championship striker.

Harris much better as an impact sub than a starter.

I like Harris, I think he’s a decent championship player.

In an ideal world we would have a better player and use him as a squad player and a substitute mainly though.

Now that we cannot sign anybody, we don't have much choice but to offer him a new contract.

He'll also be in a strong bargaining position since we've now become beggars, and beggars cannot be choosers.

Its a no brainer to keep harris and without the embargo i would have kept him
his attidude is spot on works his b.ll.cks off takes people on we have some still in the sqaud who look like could ' nt care less ie sawyers
and ojo sometimes looks not interested
everytime harris is on he hounds takes on defenders and tries to make things happen
If we ever get back to the prem harris would not make it
But fighting at the foot of the table you need players who will try
Not just shrug there shoulders after we go a goal down.

I don't understand this "he try's" mentality. Yes, he does. But trying is the minimum expectation.

Trying doesn't keep you up. Quality does. If you have players who don't try, needless to say, they should be let go.

I respect his commitment and attitude, but he lacks quality, which is what is needed. I would try, but I wouldn't keep us up.

I would prefer harris to whyte who seems to be in hudsons good books as he keeps playing him and dies nothing for me when we did have players better than harris he was not on the bench even
But we do not have a string of good players better than harris and if we do where are they.

Excellent post. My sentiments in a nut shell.
