Callum Robinson believes this Cardiff City squad will eventually get up the table but urged patience from fans as the team tries to forge new connections after a whirlwind summer of transfers.
No fewer than 17 players were brought in during the latest window and it is perhaps unsurprising that the performances have been inconsistent.
Robinson, however, believes that, with time, this team can move up the table.
"Definitely," he said when asked if Cardiff could shoot up the ladder. "We have got enough ability.
"There are a lot of young lads and you've got to remember, I was the 17th signing. Seventeen players. That's unheard of. It's going to take a while for us all to gel.
"That's tough for fans to hear that, but it takes a while in any business, when there are 17 new people working together.
"The lads and myself have been working hard during the break and hopefully we can get that win next Saturday.
"I try to help the boys on and off the field. There is obviously Rallsy, Nels (Curtis Nelson), Cedric (Kipre) has played a lot of games, Romaine Sawyers has played at the top level. We all try to chip in and help."

I just hope we go on a decent run that will secure our survival. Without that we could easily go down.
