Mark Hudson: Rubin is still playing catch-up
Mark Hudson believes Rubin Colwill is still not firing on all cylinders after struggling for game-time this season owing to a number of injury issues.
It was touch and go as to whether Colwill would get the call-up for Wales' World Cup finals campaign in Qatar, given he had seen precious few minutes in a Cardiff shirt so far this season.
After coming back from the World Cup, both he and Mark Harris had to settle for spots on the bench. Harris had a telling impact after his introduction in the second half, while Colwill came on with just three minutes to go.
Assessing the duo's fitness, Hudson said: "Sparky came on. They have had a lot of travelling. it is a big experience for both of them to go through, but they are ready, willing.
"Rubin has obviously not had a lot of football. he was just back before he got selected for the World Cup, buzzing he got selected, but he is still playing catch-up because he's missed so much.
"Sparky (Harrris), you see his endeavour and work-rate, he looked so sharp down the right. You have got Isaak looking to come back. That's what you need, competition for places and it's down to me to pick the right team."

Not really Monty boy.
It’s a results business and if the manager doesn’t think he’s quite ready then so be it.
I’d like to see him given a run of games myself but if he isn’t fit enough we have to trust Hudson.
Hopefully he’ll get a longer run as a substitute on Saturday.

I was only been a bit tounge in cheek about colwill
Don' t lets get to serious on the forum otherwise it becomes very boring if it all has to be factual we all know about his growth spurts etc but its just been such a long time since he was a regular and half the seasons gone
same as adams who has yet to make his debut regrettable but very frustrating as a fan.
