My Prediction:
CARDIFF CITY 3 BLACKPOOL 0
For me this def has to be a win for City as we are at home to a club beneath us and if we don’t win, City really will be brought in to the bottom 3.
Blackpool have lost 4 & drawn 1 of their last 5 games, if you can’t beat these, you deserve to be in the bottom 3.

Could be a ball breaker for hudson so close to january loosing at home to a club in the bottom 2
which would drop us into bottom 3
the excuses are also difficult because injury wise we are pretty much back to full strength so a must win
otherwise i am sure
a lot are not going to be happy even mr tan if we drop in bottom 3.

Where is all this negativity coming from. We have the team and the individual players to beat Blackpool. UPWARDS AND ONWARDS

How would it drop us into the bottom 3? Even if we were the only 2 teams playing & we lost it still wouldn't, almost every team below us has to win for that to happen.
I agree that we are in a dangerous position but it's bad enough at the moment without people making stuff up to make it look worse.

Saturdays result at Stoke is only a decent point if we follow it up with 3 points at home this weekend. If we are to pull away from bottom 3 we need to be beating teams like Blackpool.
We have been so inconsistent this season it's hard to call any game. Hoping to see the team that finished at Stoke start this game.

The pre-Christmas kids for a quid reminds me of Rick Wrights infamous festive initiative. 5 nil to Blackpool then! In reality it will be a draw or a narrow home defeat confirming we are relegation candidates this year and unless we have a January window like last year when we brought in experience and quality we are going down.

Madine in line for Bluebirds reunion
Blackpool boss Michael Appleton is confident Gary Madine will be fit to face his former club on Saturday.
The striker was taken off after 70 minutes of his side's draw with Birmingham City last weekend, and has reportedly been struggling with a chest problem in the last week.
However, when asked whether Madine might be fit enough to play against Cardiff, Appleton told LancsLive: “I think so, yeah. It’s not an injury as such, it’s more illness. He’s been struggling and we’ve had our fair share of lads who have been out with illness over the last six weeks or maybe even 10 weeks now, as we’ve had the four-week break.
“As a club it’s been a difficult time with injuries and illnesses. To be fair to him, he gave us the best part of an hour against Birmingham and if that’s the same again against Cardiff, then so be it. All I can say is if we have the impact we have off the bench from a couple of the subs, then we’ll be all right.”

Philogene back in training
Cardiff striker Jaden Philogene appears to have returned to training following a recent hernia operation.
The forward went under the knife over the World Cup break, after missing last month's clash with Sheffield United.
There had been suggestions he could be out until the new year, but it appears he's made good progress in his recovery.

Suspended.

What's the team news?
For the hosts, the game against the Seasiders is too early for Isaak Davies, who needs more minutes in his legs before he'll back in first-team contention.
Jaden Philogene is still recovering from hernia surgery but is now back out on the grass and shouldn't be too far away. Ebou Adams is out after a setback thanks to a fresh injury to his knee. His frustrating wait on the sidelines remains.
Jamilu Collins is the long-term absentee, but all the players who went on international duty will be back and available for selection.
As for Blackpool, former Bluebirds striker Gary Madine should be fit for the trip south, and Jake Beesley should also be in contention.
Jordan Gabriel, Kevin Stewart, Lewis Fiorini, Keshi Anderson, Theo Corbeanu and Jordan Thorniley are all sidelined still through injury, while Marvin Ekpiteta is suspended.

A big call for a penalty there as Callum Connolly kicks through the back of Robinson, but nothing doing. The ball is recycled to Ryan Wintle, who hits a clean shot from 25 yards, but it's straight at Grimshaw.

Cardiff try and play into the box down the left, however Whyte's ball to O'Dowda is cut out.
