Sat Dec 03, 2022 9:19 am

Cardiff City defender Mark McGuinness has been recognised for his stellar performances for Sheffield Wednesday by being nominated for November's PFA Player of the Month award for League One.

McGuinness was a crucial player for the Owls throughout the month, with the defender scoring his first goal for Wednesday during their 1-0 win over Shrewsbury at Hillsborough.

It prompted manager Darren Moore to admit he is looking into the prospect of signing the 21-year-old on a permanent basis, which you can read more about here .

He is up against fellow Owl David Stockdale, Derby County's Louie Sibley, Barnsley's Adam Phillips, Lincoln City's Max Sanders and Oxford United's Billy Bodin.
