‘ Lee Tomlin ‘

Let’s hope he don’t let them down:

Player / Coach of Southern League Ilkeston Town FC

The last year Tomlin has played 9 games for Walsall and 6 games for Doncaster Robers and both released him.

Ilkeston Town FC:
We are delighted to announce the signing of former @theposh, @Walsall, @CardiffCityFC, @Boro, @BristolCity @Doncaster, @Rushden and Diamonds , @Brackey Town, @AFC Bournemouth and @NFFC midfielder Lee Tomlin as player-coach.

The 33-year-old has agreed a deal to become player-coach at the Microlise New Manor Ground and will go straight into the squad for this weekend’s trip to Redditch United.

Ben Turner now Lee Tomlin

From someone to scored our most popular goal to someone who could have scored that goal but didn't.

This is a local club for me so it will be interesting to see how this goes.

Flashes of brilliance as a player, awful attitude and work ethic. I really can’t see him as coaching material.

Totally agree. Possibly the most naturally gifted player i have seen pull on a City shirt. What a waste of talent and in years to come he will look back with plenty of money in his pocket but plenty of regrets. He should have been a Premier League regular and possibly an England player.

Good luck to him, hope he turns it around for himself, never knock a person who you don't have an idea of what's going on in their mind...Good luck to him
