Japan scored a goal when pictures clearly show whole of ball over the goal line out of play? Lineswoman gave it out of play but "VAR" said it was in play because the curvature of the ball meant it was in play!!! Can Anyone make sense of this decision??
Poor germans knocked out of WC.

The one closest to accuracy shows clearly a gap between ball and the line that the one should be used the one the linesperson used simply because if you are looking at ball from behind it will show in play looking from pitch side it wontt show anything.... but the strangest part is fifa and var have not published the pictures or angles they used to determine where it didn't
Cross line... simple test you put ball with gap between it and a line look from above behind it and hey presto looks different
from side view ....

Showed in on the news this morning and explained about it and it was the right decision

What did they show ? An angle where ball appeared to be still in play or one that showed daylight between ball and line? They say camera doesn't lie well it does..... even spains manager questioned the validity of the pictures and they qualified in the group?
anyway it's a matter of debate but was var brought in to undermine officials Because its certainly doing that...... its determining 1 inch is sufficient to change offside decision or giving penalty when no contact is seen may as well not have officials now! tbh var as been appalling this world cup they've got 6 officials making a decision absolutely ludicrous situation... but the germans out so one team is happy.

Do we want technology or not ?
Looked at from above it was in, I don't really care if the managers complain, for every one whining manager there is one saying it's great. How long have people been complaining about added time not being enough and now we have then moaning about there being too much.
Watching it live the ball looked out & up until all of the new technology added this world cup it would have stayed out.
Again, looked at from above the ball was in, like it or not it's done now and you have to give credit to the Japanese players for not stopping.

A lot of managers dont want it.. as I've said sideways which is the natural way to see if there is a gap as been that way since time immemorial ... but now we are saying that is irrelevant as we'll look at it from above to make sure ball is in play? Going on this taunement there as been offside given when there was less than an inch going by lines but what part of sleeve did they use as the two players had different lengths of sleeve?.. and a penalty when no contact was involved also handball when player was falling over put hand down to stop face being smashed on ground penalty given.... no wonder managers ste not happy having var anymore. Simply put you are happy if gives you decision unhappy if doesn't.. but like to know why they use 5 var officials to make one decision?

Just read fifa's view and seen picture they used?
One from goaline technology.... theyve use a still where ball is fraction in play but if they move another frame or two you'll find ball was out because the player is going outwards.. like said photos do lie because fifa says the two that show ball clearly out are not accurate? To me fifa are trying to save face at var mistake by manipulating picture just like spains manager indicated even before this explanation...

None of them show the ball as clearly out

seen two pics with daylight between ball and line and the fifa one that shows ball just touching line not sure anyone believes that their picture is the full picture Well managers pundits dont think so..
But its gone end of story for Germany.

For VAR to reverse an on-pitch decision by referee or linesman, it should be a clear and obvious error. If it is not clear and obvious, then the decision should stand.

According too fifa it was so obvious an error but from lines person prospective it showed ball out? Var didn't need to go to extreme lengths to try and alter the decision which is what they did.. as for fifas official proof sorry it proved nothing as they released a picture that may not have been fully accurate ? Everyone as seen two pictures with space between ball and line yet they managed to use Hawkeye to justify their decision garauntee if you move the picture 2 frames it would show same as other two did as camera does lie as the 3 pictures show.

I’m more bothered about some of the ridiculous penalties that have been given and even fifa calling Ronaldo a genius for cheating.

Just mutual admiration from one cheat to another.
