Southgate responds to boos
Gareth Southgate admits the boos heard following England's 0-0 draw with the USA will not affect his players further on in the tournament.
The Three Lions were off colour as they failed to find a way past Gregg Berhalter's impressive side. Following the conclusion of England's latest fixture at Al Bayt Stadium, boos could be heard - with the England faithful seemingly displaying their frustration at the nature of their side's performance.
The result means all four sides in Group B can still qualify for the knockout stages going into the final round of matches on Tuesday night.
“Of course I want our fans to go home happy and I want our fans at home to have a smile on their faces," said the England boss. "We haven’t quite managed to achieve that.
“People are going to react how they are going to react. I can’t let that affect how I feel about the team or how the team feels. I’m sure there will be a lot of noise. This is the tournament of external noise. We are on track with a bit to do."
