After defeat for Wales v Iran, tonight's draw between England and USA leave Wales needing nothing but a win by two or more goals and USA to draw v Iran to have any chance of progressing from the group

I thought that earlier but iran as got minus 2 we got minus 1 so if they draw it be same if we win be + or =goal difference?

I’ve come on here tonight for this exact reason. So if Wales beat England and USA draw with Iran, that will put us second on GD behind England and ahead of Iran in 3rd. All teams on 4 points.

Right iran and Wales-2 goals if iran draw still-2 a win for us will give us at least -1 so we go through dont we? ... and way England played who knows.

If we beat England and the others draw we're through on goal difference.

Otherwise we need to win by four goals, not sure if it is three because our goal difference with England will be the same.

Let's not prolong the agony any further. We have no chance of winning against England. Page has messed up lost any Hooe of getting out of the group with his no idea of team selection wrong tactics and below average players. To think of all the work previous Managers have done to see it all ruined in 2 matches by a Manager who hasent a clue and a Dad's Army team. At the end of this world cup someone will get the Golden Boot award I hope another boot will be given to a certain Rob Page or Wales will go from bad to worse. Wales need to try and carry on what previous Managers have done and bring in young talent not rely on the old players some who Page thinks should still be in the team. Having to revert back to using players from the bottom ieague is a joke he is taking us backwards he needs to go after this world cup.

Page isn't the best tactician but we're a small nation with an ageing side. Let's hope the Welsh F.A. have invested in the future. It could be a few barren years when Bale and Ramsey retire.

Everyone enjoy the last game and be thankful for the experience. Wales need to continue building on our recent successes, rebuild with the youngsters and look towards the Euro's. Allen and williams time is up.... rambo depends on what he does next? He needs game time at a club not bit part substitute appearances... bale let's wait see he as got pre season with LA to get properly fit... mls season starts feb before euros start in March ... neither are too old given the age of some of good players

You can citicize his team selection and tactics but everyone who started the game yesterday has played in the Premier League or a top European league in the last six months or so. I would expect such players to be able to put two passes together.

sorry to be so negative allan but wish i could be more optimistic i teally do but if ever thete was a game we should hsve gone for heart and soul it was the iran game and the plauers manager system whatever we did not produce it and i don' t think we have the same heart in this team as in the euros and a lot of that is down to the manager he just seems to placid i like animated managers on the side line like warnock not some quite deep thinker who is frightened to tell 2 players that they have to do a lot better .

Monty I know what you mean .... and I've said long ago page is to defensively minded vin general... yes it's ok in those final games leading upto WC as results was the most important thing.... but to be like it against two sides that we had reasonable chance of beating is non sensicle in a WC with little margin for error ! Going on to bale Rambo its pages tactics that as caused them to look useless I always thought you play to strengths but page is doing opposite especially with Rambo....only comfort can take is playing England is better than playing a foreign team as styles more equal ...

Not given up yet but knowing our luck we win and the other game a team wins aswell .

Looking at some of the results this WC its quite extraordinary two teams concede 6 & 7 goals in opening game they then go on to win next game... result is 3 of europes best teams are in danger of going out at group stage with other big names at risk as well.. all because smaller nations go out and beat bigger teams.

It's a FA cup clash, but the underdogs never win by 4 goals.
