"We've got a few tired bodies," said Page. "We had a few go down with cramp late on (v USA).


"Joe Allen got through his fitness test, so that's good news. He's fit and raring to go. We've got a decision to make on that, what's best for him and the team as well.

"The medical team have been exceptional with him. They're the reason he's now in a position to be fit and raring to go. We were all concerned about him because of the extent of the injury.

"He kept breaking down. We had to meet targets along the way and they've met every target. Last week they pushed him to 100 per cent. It was a gamble.

"If he'd have broken down he would have been completely out of the tournament. We could have done it sooner to push for the USA game but I decided against that because, when we look at the group and the confidence we have to get out of the group, then I want him for the long term. Everybody else is fighting fit."

A few tired bodies after one game that doesent sound very hopeful. To many unfit old players taken but Page does it his way never takes advice from anyone. I want more than anything to see Wales get out of the group if the don't only one person to blame.

said got a..... few tired bodies after the game but all ok now including Allen.. to be fair theres been quit a few tired bodies in other teams as well judging by some of the bigger teams performances... I would feel happy if after tomorrow there is at least an 8 goal advantage to Wales going into last game ...

8 goal advantage?! What you smoking. If we beat Iran I can only see it being by a small margin in the afternoon heat and I think England will have a much tougher game in the late kickoff. I predict maybe a 3 goal advantage going in game 3 which puts USA very much in the driving seat. Even a 5 goal advantage would likely not be enough to progress.
