Kieffer Moore is confident that Wales can exploit Iran's weaknesses having watched their next opponent's 6-2 defeat to England on Monday.

The Three lions cruised to victory over Carlos Queiroz's side - who were abject defensively and saw precious little of the ball for long periods of the contest with Gareth Southgate's outfit.

Rob Page's side realistically need to clinch all three points against the Iranians to stand a chance of progressing into the knockout stages of the World Cup, and Moore admits Wales have discovered plenty to study prior to Friday's contest at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.

“We watched the game and we saw everything we want to work on and would like to exploit against them," said the frontman.

“We know it’s a massive game and we want the three points. We hope to take the momentum into our next game.”





And on his impact against the USA, Moore commented: “I knew what I had to do when I came on. I didn’t have a point to prove - we are all in this together. I did just what was best for the team.”

England played a 4231, and overloaded the midfield, the pace either wing, and pushing men into the box was something they could not handle. but i think Page will stick with his 532 formation, and i think we will win, but fear it will be too defensive a set up and probably be 1 maybe 2 - 0

We need a fair few goals tomorrow because goal difference is going to be key as expect usa to lose tomorrow and win v Iran......so we probably need an 8 goal advantage going into last game..

There seems to be a lack of ideas and tactics to get around their defence... yet iran have a clear plan to go over the top of our 3 defenders and at times it's worked.. got to change things this half ..

Wouldn't be surprised.... we started with 343 but actually didn't play that way .... not for first time hes got it wrong I said ages ago in other games he is a defensive minded coach and this WC it showed .... moore was played to give us a target upfront but never used him in any capacity... also being loyal cost us badly..... everything with both performances was wrong
