That’s right, but everyone where it hurts. An armband for the captain and a financial penalty for FAs awash with cash because they’ve reached the World Cup Finals. Tokenism at finest all round.

Yes maybe so but short of carrying placards noth else can do ..... fifa fully aware of countries dislike at having WC there hence the ridiculous response of keep it to football not politics... suspect fifa will ignore it well if had brains they will otherwise it becomes about armband not football.... already told Denmark cannot do anything with message on shirts so they have changed the way shirt looks instead.

Why can't the teams go and play football it is the World Cup? It seems there are protests everyday about some thing. Do you really think anyone in that country will take notice as soon as its all over back to normal for them so what's it going to prove. If Fifa do fine the @q11 countries including Wales it's a waste of money that Wales can hardly afford to throw away. It's their country like it or not if you don't then don't go there. I'm looking forward to the matches but not all these moans and groans always someone or groups with nothing better to do than find an excuse to form there own little protest. Give it a rest and just enjoy the football.

It's all about public perception? Countries have got to be seen to do something as a protest.... can you imagine if teams didn't do or say anything? Lbgt+ and others will go bananas .....not showing support is not an option in this politically correct times...... Hopefully once football starts can concentrate on that but suspect wont take long before qartari authorities do something to divert attention away from football like arrest fans for trivial things ..
