HUDSON HAS BEEN PROMISED & SAYS TAN & HIM HAVE A PLAN

Sun Nov 13, 2022 10:10 am

Bluebirds owner Vincent Tan offered boss Hudson the managers role earlier this week and promised him support in the January transfer window.

Both Hudson and Tan say they both have a plan and they will put it in place this coming January.

Mark Hudson is Tans 5th manager in the last 3 years and Tans 12th since he bought the Bluebirds, 12 years ago.

MARK HUDSON:

"I had been offered the managers job and after going through the final details, i have accepted, Vincent Tan has promised me his full backing in the January transfer."

"For the staff, the players and for everyone involved it is some clarity which is what we needed, now its done we can plan for the future."

Former club captain Hudson, 40, took the reins following the departure of Steve Morison in September.

Cardiff have since won four, drawn one and lost six of their 11 Championship games, but losing six of their last eight league games, with Tan seeing enough to show faith in Hudson.

"I spoke to the players this morning about it," Hudson added.

"I think for the staff as well to know where we stand - we can get our heads down and look forward, which is something which is important to all us."

On his visit to Cardiff for Tuesday's 3-2 home defeat by Hull City, Tan promised backing for Hudson in the next transfer window.

Hudson did: "We have spoken about January, we want to talk about the right personnel for the football club if it's possible."

"We have started planning all that and the closer we get to it, we will see where we are at.

"We have a plan for each player and as a squad and as Vincent said, we have a plan for January as well."

"We are going to work together and put this plan in place, its very exciting."

Did not Steve Morison say he had a plan?

Your Russell Slades, Trollopes, Neil Harris, Steve Morisons etc etc and now Mark Hudson all have had plans.

All these type of managers are better of as coaches and under a good manager, Cardiff City is far to big for them all as the main man.

Bargain basement signings again. Can’t see this turning out very well.

everyone has a plan until they get a smack in the face..

Everyone has a plan until they get a smack in the face.. Mike Tyson - I think the same argument applies here
The only plan Tan and Hudson need is to find someone that can put the ball in the back of the net at championship level.

In terms of ambition - rather than play offs / promotion - we are looking at survival and avoiding relegation. Watching the highlights from yesterday - Nkongkou should not play in that position ever again.

Let's be honest yesterday was not Hudson's fault. Harris, and Robinson missed easy chances. Ojo missed one at the end.
The problem getting players to come to a struggling team is immense.. Topping the list of players to leave in January in my book is Harris. Just not good enough. How he made the WC squad instead of Cooper and the Fulham lad is a mystery
Hudson needs to spend the month working out players best positions, starting with Colwill not being a winger.

Good post. Thought tbf to him, Ojo’s miss was not as clear cut a chance as the other 2.

Lets hope the plan unvolves spending 20 mill on 2 strikers and a left back
Just watching burnley game after dyche left they got a quality manager in vincent kompany and bellers our last have been 2 caretakers

Burnley 3 nil on top of the league with decent manager

Re: HUDSON HAS BEEN PROMISED & SAYS TAN & HIM HAVE A PLAN

We got rid of 15 or so players the one thing we needed is something we didnt get a decent striker
Money was obviously there as we spent 1.5m on a player who is not an out and out striker? Morison is to blame his priority was a striker and he had several months to get one even if meant sacrificing an extra signing but he left it until last week of window to pay out for Robinson... as for a plan yes plan is to do it like huddersfield and other clubs did previously like last season but as I said before it carrys big risk of relegation and that's what happening at huddersfield playoffs last season relegation possibility this season city may well follow if not this then next season unless a change of attitude by tan is made? Very unlikely indeed.

The plan is probably to allow Hudson to spend every single penny he receives from selling players in January.

Hudson now trying to work out how best to spend the £1.49 he'll get from the Ojo and Etete sales.

Don't get the hatred and abuse MH is getting surely he has some credit in the bank from being a f*cking good captain and understands the club. But hey-ho every manager will be shite until someone other than Mr Tan picks them I suppose. C' MON CITY. KEEP THE FAITH.

I like Hudson as a man and a former player but we need a good, experienced manager who will work under Tan. It seems no manager worth their salt wants to work under Tan, unless he offers a fortune. A good aspiring manager on the up wouldn't touch us with Tan, choo and Dalman. They offer no real vision for the future. Appointing Hudson is a mistake for me
