‘ Real Quality / But ‘

Sadly suffered some horrible injuries:

Lennon Peake a winger who scored on trial for City in their defeat to Charltons u21’s today.

I just found out who it was.

Just spoke to his parents they are currently in Jamaica.

They wanted to surprise me, apparently a few clubs have asked him to come in trial.

Lennon, is a mate of mines son, I have known Lennon since he was 5yrs old.

Very very talented, was really a future star, but sadly had an horrific injury and has been out of action for 2yrs. Lennon has had numerous surgeries and hopefully they have finally repaired his ACL, MCL, LCL, all ruptured after 2 major operations.
He’s a winger, but can score amazing goals.

Lennon had just broken in to the Under 21 West Ham team and made 2 appearances.
West Ham had given him another chance in September.

Lennon is 20yrs old and would if been a regular in West Ham’s U21 team, but for the injury.

West Ham kid scores on Bluebirds trial

West Ham United youngster Lennon Peake scored on his trial with Cardiff City under-21s this afternoon.

The 20-year-old winger was announced as a trialist on Cardiff City's team sheet but it can be revealed that it was indeed Irons academy wide man Peake.

The winger has endured a hellish two years of injury torment, missing two full seasons before making a comeback at the start of this campaign.

However he has struggled for minutes in West Ham's youth setup this term and it appears he is seeking more regular action elsewhere, with the Bluebirds offering him a trial spot with the club.

And he certainly made a decent impression, scoring in just the second minute of the match against Charlton Athletic.

However, the young Addicks hit back through Daniel Kanu on the half-hour mark and he was on the scoresheet again after the break to earn the league one London club the win over Cardiff.

Great to see the lad coming back strong after those awful ligament injuries, good luck to him.

Apparently he’s not happy there Wez and they have said he can go, but they would put a sell on clause. But about 7 clubs want him.

This is not your Tanners, he is real quality that has come through a Premiership Accademy from a kid and only through injury he has not made it.

He would be a great signing, not because I know him, I have watched the quality of him over the years.
Some amazing goals and skill.

It’s his last season, but they have not given him the game time this season.

Suppose a sell on clause is justified if they spent the time and money on him before and after injury.

Sounds a decent prospect.

Shame he’s not Welsh, but hopefully he gets a chance with Cardiff, as he sounds like he could be an exciting player.
