BREAKING " MARK HUDSON HAS BEEN OFFERED "

Tue Nov 08, 2022 7:20 pm

Vincent Tan confirms that Mark Hudson has been offered the Cardiff City manager's job until the end of the season.

Tan said:

"I think he can do a good job. We had a long chat today with him and Tom (Ramasut). They are of the understanding that they will do their very best to do a great job for this club," said Cardiff's owner.

"Who knows, maybe we can make it to the play-offs. And if we win those, we can be in the Premier League again. I'm a positive person and I believe it is possible."

Tan also said that he would support Hudson in the January transfer window, if necessary, but he stressed no more "stupid transfers that lost us a lot of money in the Premier League" would be happening again.

The Malaysian businessman, whose club sit in 14th place at time of writing, still harbours ambitions of the Bluebirds reaching the play-offs and, ultimately, the Premier League this season.

"The difference between us and Preston in sixth place is seven points," he added. "If they lose three and we win three we would be right up there. I'm a positive person and I have a positive outlook for this football club."

Make the play offs talk made me laugh the most. I'm all for being positive at times but he's delusional with this squad tbh in my opinion as rarely do u see a squad wage bill stripped in half and expect the same results but you never know :bluescarf:

If Tan seriously thinks we are promotion material then he is clueless.

May not be but win tonight and we are are closer to promotion than relegation that's for sure... tbf to him hes looking at table rather than performances and it's not something that some fans would say..but pipe dream at moment.

If you are a positive man Vincent, you should know he will do a good job, not just think he will. But he won't, we will lose significantly more than we lose with him running the team. Top six? You are deluded, if we finish above the bottom six we will be lucky.

Sorry but he has been away for so long now he has lost sight of the situation the club finds itself with. With no money in the club, low player wages, the cheapest option in keeping Hudson with lack of managerial skills. Sorry but Tan just needs tp sell up and walk away and let a more caring owner in who will turn up at games and give our team the injection it needs in order to get the fans excited and bring back the hope for the future with top quality players.

Tan has done wonders but after we turned back to Blue his heart was not in this club anymore, he found a gem in Warnock who brought the club together and spend low amount of transfer money on players in the lower leagues. When he left we had easy goers in Neil Harris and Mick McCarthy which ultimately nearly got us relegated. Then Steve Morison who done wonders and was on a journey with us, then got the boot for no reason. Then Hudson who has limited knowledge in the manager scene.

Thanks for everything Tan but it's time to go.
The fans know it, now you need to know it.

For me it will be a case of promised so much but delivered so little

It just seems like we were used as a toy so that Tan could impress his political allies with premiership football at the time.

As the political map has changed in Malaysia there appears to be no willingness to want to impress anymore

Its the same old, same old, a pattern has emerged big time.

This is not about getting a quality manager for our club, its how cheap they are.

Yes it is, unfortunately. If you pay peanuts, you get...... All this while the club is slowly but surely being driven into the ground.

Fans are voting with their feet, with the club's demise going ever downwards, ever since the 2019/20 season.

For me, the countdown to a new manager approaching the summer starts here, either for another championship campaign or possibly following relegation to league 1.
To me it's quite simple, we currently have a squad who are bottom half of the championship and could easily be relegated.
I can only imagine Mark Hudson along with a lack of funds will NOT attract the quality of players to our club to improve things.
It's all wishful thinking along with lack of football knowledge on Vincent Tan's behalf.
But nevertheless, good luck to Mark Hudson.
