MARK HUDSON: What have you made of Max Watters this season

MARK HUDSON:

What have you made of Max Watters this season?

I’ve sat with Max. We have talked about freeing him up a little bit. Not carrying the burden or the pressure. I’ll spend time with everyone, work out ways we can improve everyone. With strikers, you want them to score goals, but he came on and put in a shift, his numbers said he did as well. It was just a tactical one, using our last sub right in the dying moments.

What head space is he in?

It’s about working hard. We have sat with him. I sat with him last week to speak about what we can do on the training field to improve those instincts, that movement. That’s the same with everyone. We are here to develop every player individually so we can have a better team every week.

I reckon Watters and Etete arent actually footballers, its all part of a VT formulated games like Squid Games where at the end of the season they will step forth as just actors they found in Billericay and Chelmsford just to show what a bunch of mugs he takes us for! :bluebird:

Stop talking such Bullshit Hudson. If that is what you call putting it a shift you've never done a shift. I know you must stick up for your players but you are making a fool of yourself.

I really feel for the lad, he is not this bad, but sometimes it just doesn't work out for you at a job, never mind a job when there were 40K people watching you and millions on TV.

He runs like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders and almost finds his marker. There will be plenty of L1 or L2 takers if we offer him up for loan

I feel for him as well. He has 18 months left on his contract so a loan to end of season would suit all. Hopefully he can get a few goals - he has proved he can get them at a lower level - and either come back here next season with a bit of confidence or move on and we get a fee for him.

I think some on here forget that the lad is obviously struggling but still think abuse is the way to go.
He is a human being ffs.
But to all you who love to find a scapegoat, clap, clap, clap.

Jules, well said...

You and I have had this discussion, so you know my feelings on people taking their own frustrations out on players trying to do their best

Watters may or may not fit into our team/system but he doesn't deserve the pelters he is getting any more than last year's scapegoat or the one before that, or the one before that, or...

Some people just need to vent to allay their own life frustrations.... :(

I still believe he just needs one to go in off his backside to release some of his obvious frustration then score a worldly.
