Mark Hudson on Harris:

‘He works hard for the team, on and off the pitch. He missed one in the first half, but I told him it would come. He made an instinctively good run on the blind side. I'm delighted for him. His energy and work ethic is excellent. He’s worked so hard this week.’

Mark Harris:

“Next week is the deciding week, so I've got everything crossed. I've been in the Welsh squad for the last year and made a few appearances, but it's just about concentrating, playing as well as I can for Cardiff City and hoping that Rob Page sees that.’

Sorry TC but imo one goal isn’t going to change my mind on him atm. Personally I do t rate him but I do understand that it’s opinions that make this forum so great.
Really pleased he got his goal and will never fault his work ethic though.

Hudson didn't drop Robinson for Harris, if so then I think all these comments are valid, but Robinson got himself sent off so the choice was between,Harris, Watter, Etete or Ojo, and on all evidence, Harris is leagues better than the others. Beggars can't be choosers and this is where we are at the moment. Davies and Colwill returning adds much needed options

Just watched the highlights. Either an instinctive finish for the goal or got lucky can't tell from the angle but he got the goal through good movement. Should have done better with the other big chance but again that was created by his good movement so good to see.

Also, the chance he set up for Ojo where he robbed the ball just inside our half - showed a good bit of endeavour.

Maybe he's on the brink of realising his potential. Fingers crossed

He's certainly not a bad footballer, but praising someone for giving effort always puzzles me in football, it should be a standard requirement, it's like praising a new car for having wheels.

He doesn't consistently offer enough of a threat in front of goal to be playing as a striker at this level for me.

Puts Watters to shame.

Harris puts in the effort which eventually leads to the odd goal. Watters strolls around and throws tantrums and remains goalless

Normally if the attitude is right the rest will follow. The criticism of him on here is unfair at times and maybe he won't ultimately make the grade but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't he got the winner a couple of times already this season? Not too shabby.

I really hope so mate if he dies I’ll be the first to say he’s proved me wrong and I’ll be happy to say it as it’ll benefit my club. :bluescarf:

He doesn't seem to have that instinctive edge that strikers need or the ability to stay calm when in on goal.

Seemed to not know where the goal was when he dinked the ball over the goalie and put it so wide I thought it was a pass.

Even his goal seemed to be a sliced shot but he scored so cannot complain.

Works his socks off but not sure he is a striker. Perhaps needed the upbringing Earnie had with a few seasons in Scotland.

He runs around like a headless chicken but his passing is awful and finishing below standard. I’m sorry but effort and endeavour are automatic qualities in someone who probably pinched themselves they have the living they do with the ability they have and rightly wants to do his best.
He had a much better young striker in Rhys Healey who was light years ahead of Mark Harris.
