Vincent Tan will attend the meeting which decides Mark Hudson's future in Cardiff next week. Likely to be at Hull City game on Tuesday evening.

Mark Hudson will hold talks with Cardiff board in coming days over his future. Says the club are not looking at anyone else for manager's position, which seems to point to only one thing.

If Mark Hudson is named as permanent manager, I can't say this fills me with excitement or optimism for the future.
As a city fan for many years, I would wish Mark all the best, but I can't help feeling this shows the clubs lack of ambition.
To me, we may as well have continued with Steve Morison rather than give the job to another inexperienced guy like Mark. Obviously, he spoke out of turn to the wrong people in the club hierarchy.
This makes me wonder if Mark is the 'yes man' that Vincent Tan and the board would prefer to either Steve Morison or maybe someone of a higher profile who may demand a bigger budget to bring in the talent we need to climb the table.
Once again, only time will tell, but don't hold your breath waiting for the good times to return soon.

This was extremely predicable, wat happens if results don't improve, currently lost 4 of the last 5.

My fear is that because we cant put the ball in the net at home - crowds tend to disappear pretty quick. It's like the Slade era - which was just dreadful to watch.

There was only one saving grace from the watford game and that was seeing Phillgene play some pretty amazing football.

The Slade era was not epitomised by a lack of goals… far from it. Please tell me what stats you refer to as we scored more under Slade per game than under Warnock if looking at championship games only

Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan will be in attendance for Mark Hudson's crunch meeting over his future as Bluebirds boss.

The Welsh club put on a fantastic display at the Stadium of Light, despite only beating Sunderland by the marginal scoreline of just 1-0 thanks to Mark Harris' goal. Joe Ralls' early penalty miss was another reason the margin wasn't bigger, mind you.

Nevertheless, it was a hugely-positive display in the north east, just before Hudson is set to meet with the club's owner and board over the permanency of his position.

Tan is understood to be in the UK on business and is expected to be in Cardiff next week for the first time since May 4, 2019, the Bluebirds' last home game of their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace. He is also likely to be in attendance when the Bluebirds host Hull on Tuesday evening.

"Yeah, I think he is coming across," Hudson said when asked if Tan would be in attendance at Cardiff next week. "I think everyone will be there, so that should be good.

Antonio Conte's side hope to strengthen their
"It will be nice for the fans and the club to have some clarity and that together approach, which is what everyone wants. Obviously when you win away at Sunderland it's always nice!"

Cardiff were good value for their win, controlling the first hour before Sunderland produced an onslaught late on after the visitors made substitutions.
